"Have a good day, honey!" My mom said as she dropped me off at school.

I quickly looked around to see if anyone heard and I blushed. Luckily no one saw, so I ducked my head and wheeled myself to my first class. Halfway there I felt my wheelchair move faster and it wasn't because of me. I turned around and saw a group of guys laughing.

I am assuming one of them had pushed my chair. I turned my chair around and went to wheel my chair towards them. Suddenly my chair stopped moving. I looked behind me again. Zach O'Brien.

His gorgeous blue eyes were full of rage. He stalked up to the asshole that pushed my chair.

"Hey, Zach! Did you see how good that was?" Said the asshole.

Zach didn't respond, he sent his fist into assholes face. My jaw dropped to the floor. I slowly wheeled myself backwards away from the scene. I turned around and went to my first class.

As I got closer to my English class I started to laugh. The look on assholes face was priceless. The prick better have learned his lesson. I wheeled myself to my seat, its specially for me because of my chair. I feel like a complete outcast.

I looked out towards the hall and saw Zach walking down the hall. We made eye contact and he shot me a wink, causing me to blush. I ducked my head and pulled out my phone while Mrs. Brown started the lesson. I opened the Facebook Messager app, sending Zach a text.

"Thanks O'Brien."

My phone vibrated a few minutes later.

"No problem cutie. :*"

I smiled and put my phone away.

It was finally lunch time. I wheeled myself to my spot and pulled out my sandwich. Zach casually walked over to me, taking a seat next to me.

"Hey, los-" I started.

"Would you like to go out after school?" He interrupted while looking into my eyes.

"Sure." I said right back taking a bite of my sandwich. "Where to?".

"I was thinking that coffee shop behind the football field?"

"You knew I was going there, didn't you?"

"Yup."

I laughed. "Sure, let's go there, they have amazing Mac n' cheese.".

This time he laughed, "Yeah, you sure are cute.".

I looked at him with my eyebrows raised. I ignored it and took another bite of my sandwich even though when he said that I got butterflies. We ate the rest of our lunch in a comfortable silence.

I wheeled myself out of my last class and as I was wheeling myself to the entrance I felt someone grab my wheelchair and lightly push me. I turned around and saw Zach, he wasn't doing it in a mean way, he was just pushing me outside so I didn't have to do it myself. I smiled and he started to push me to the café.

"Thank you." I said.

"Don't worry about it," I heard the smile on his voice.

"I wanted to.".

Once we got there we both ordered Mac n' cheese and took a seat in the back.

We sat there and talked, laughed, and shared stories till closing time. I can now confirm that I, Violet McMarthy, has a crush on the Zachary O'Brien. I have been smiling so much that my cheeks hurt. I got home and my mom could see how happy I was and asked me for the details.

I spilled the beans to her, not only is she mom but she is like my best friend. She was more than happy and said she wanted to meet him. She took me to bed and I texted him.

"Hey, thank you for an amazing night, Zach."

"No problem Violet, I had an amazing night too. Sleep well I have something to ask you tomorrow."

My mind started to play scenarios and I started to overthink. But eventually I fell into a peaceful sleep.
