Try to Make Sense of Things

Pierce made sure his security was in the room and at Steffy's hospital room door 24/7. He wanted to make sure everything was secure so she could heal peacefully. He had to wonder why this happened.

He nearly made peace with Steffy moving on with Finn. For once she was happy. She had a husband who made her a priority. Both of her children were beautiful. Then this happened. Everything spiraled when Shelia came back into the picture.

The only good thing to come from it was Ridge and Taylor were together. They were going to be married next week, but it looked like it wasn't going to happen.

Which is why Brooke is here.

As usual that woman didn't know when to let things go. He would take care of Brooke and her family. For now he needed to focus on Steffy. The one woman who had his heart.

He turned back to her. Taylor and Ridge we're asleep in the chairs. Thomas was at Forrestor with Eric and Quinn. They wanted to get a head of the press. Liam did try to get back into the hospital to no avail. He had to wonder just when he was going to hear from Bill.

He was going to sit next to her bed when his phone rang. Taking it from his suit coat he looked at the screen.

"Speak of the devil."

He touched the screen, accepting the call.

"I wondered when I'd hear from you."

"I spoke with Liam. You got him banned from the hospital."

"He has no right being here."

"He has every right to make sure the mother of his child is going to be ok."

"He lost that right when he walked away from Steffy."

There was silence on the other end. It seemed like everything that was brought up, it brought reflection. Even if it was only for a few seconds. He knew Bill would always have a soft spot for Steffy.

"You're my g#d son. I thought you and Liam put this behind you."

"There wouldn't have been animosity if he would kept his promises. As you know promises mean nothing to him."

He hung up then. He had other things to focus on. Steffy being the upper most in his mind.

This time he was able to go and sit in the chair next to her. She had been through a lot. More then what any person should go through in a life time. Luckily she would be able to move on with her life.

Granted it would very hard for her because of Finn being gone. What she was going to need when she found out was time. He would give her all the time she needed.

Soon enough the nurse came in to check her vitals. He watched as the nurse went about her job.

Bill looked out of the windows of his office in frustration.

He thought things were settled between him and Liam. Kelly arrived and that little bundle healed alot of wounds. Liam was raising her with Steffy. They even planned to remarry.

Then Hope told his son she was pregnant, Brooke had to step into it, and Steffy was left to raise Kelly alone. Sure Liam was there but not like he should have been.

Even he had to admit that Hope was a good wife and mothrer. Once in a while that self-righteous side of her would come out. Just like it did with Brooke.

"Any luck with Pierce?"

He couldn't help but mentally grumble. Still Liam was his son. He turned around sighing.
