I walked down that old path, in the rain. With my child in my arms. The path was much, much longer than I remember.
I despised this. But He was right. My child is sinful. My child was the spawn of satan. But no matter, The priest will help me, he will rid him of his evil.
I skipped over the river, barely. I had the urge to kill my child, he must not give me these evil, evil thoughts.
He was asleep, but squirming around and muttering. His dark oak colored hair became dirtied by the splashing mud and dirt.
I finally arrived at the church. A huge, intimidating and dark manor. The maids there were expecting me already.
"Ah! Hello miss. I believe this is your beautiful son?" The maids held the child as I gathered myself.
"Yes, yes, my child...I hope you will rid him of his evil? His eyes..."
"Oh of course. We will be happy to rid you of this burden." The maid caressed my child, and wouldn't let me hold him.
The priest walked out. He was a tall, brooding man with a stern stare. He took my child and looked at him with an analytical stare. He looked back at me, "He will be saved from the demon inhabiting him. You may leave." He started to walk back towards the church.
"What..?" I stumbled and ran towards him, "No! No- I do want him back. I love him."
The priest stopped. He said, "You really love this child? This bundle of hate and sin and anarchy? Look at his eyes," he lifted up one of my son's eyelids, showcasing his brown eyes slowly turning blue.
"I-I just thought you would give him back! He's my son!" I kept trying to keep up with him. Although stumbling and tears formed in my eyes, "Please give him back-!"
The maids grabbed me by my arms and started to pull me back, my tears building up more and more.
"PLEASE- NO!! He- he-!"
"Calm yourself, Jana," The Priest turned around. I saw my son. He was awake. He was staring straight at me. With his eyes. His..his beautiful eyes. I love his eyes. I wanted him back.
"NO- NO!! !!" The maids pulled me away and pushed me down the steps. I sat there and cried for what seemed like hours.
I still miss him. I want him back.++++++++++++
"Take the child to the purifying room." The Priest handed the child to the maid. "I'd like a new name for him as well."
"Any in particular?"
"No, just change the name. It reminds of my father."
"And the hair?"
He thought for a moment, then said, "blonde. A very white blonde. A pure color."
"Red? But the boy's sinful-"
The priest glared at her.
"...R-right away sir." The maid left, and the other maids left to tend to the children.
