Valerie's pov :

Why did I do that?
Why did I mock Eddie the freak Munson.
Am I going insane? I am aren't I.
Without a doubt he is inside ranting about me just like old times.

I can't help but hear a soft cry, I walk towards the sound, hoping it's not in my head.
" Chrissy?. " why is the school princess crying behind a garbage bin?
" Oh hey- Valerie?. " She looks at me confused, wiping her eyes.
" Are you okay?. " she slightly nods before asking me if I have a spare cigarette.
I had no idea she smoked but what am I meant to do? Say no to a crying cheerleader.

We sit in silence for a while before Chrissy decides to speak up.
" Hey Valerie, I know this is awkward and that it's your first day back but could I ask you for a favour? "
" What's up?."  Colour me intrigued. What could she want from me.
" Do you happen to know where to get pot? And if so could you get me some?.. " She looks at me hopeful.
I toss up my options in my head. I mean if I grab her some, I'm sure I could get a hit.
" Yeah, I'll get you some. " I smile at her as she hands me a 20 dollar bill.

We sit with eachother for a while, just chatting back and forth before she tells me her address and stands to leave.
" You know Valerie, you're not what I expected."
" What did you expect?."
" For you to be scary. " She laughs.
I laugh with her, saying our goodbyes.

Now where am I going to get pot? I don't even know if my old dealer is still around and the one time I did look elsewhere, I gained an enemy.
Maybe Robin will know? She seems chill.

I head towards my next class, hoping I'd be able to catch up with Robin after school.
" Good Afternoon Miss Hopper, please take a seat next to Mr Munson and we will get started. "
I roll my eyes and walk towards the long haired boy- well man. He's a man.

" Still haven't graduated I see. " I whisper under my breath.
" Neither have you. "
" Touché. " I end our conversation there, deciding to work in silence.

All lesson I've had to deal with Munson acting like a child, tapping away with his rings and flinging things across the classroom.
I can gladly say I've taken back my earlier statement , he is not a man.

The bell rings and I'm quick on my feet to leave.
Rushing out the school doors, I light a cigarette and wait by my bike, hoping to run into Robin.

" Hey! Valerie right ? I'm max. Janes friend. " I look down at the young teenager.
" Hey, what's up? Is Jane okay?. " concern for my cousin washing over me.
" Oh yes! I was just wondering if you could pick Jane up from mine tonight. She is coming over to study and my brother won't be able to drive her home. " She rushes out.. " Where is Jane?." Ignoring her question and asking one of my own.
" Oh she's still coming, I told her I'll ask you incase you had left by the time she came out. "..
" yeah I'll pick her up, tell her to be outside at 7:30. No later. "

I hear someone yell for max, turning to notice the guy from this morning.
" MAXINE. Your friend is in the car, come on. " He shouts, stomping his cigarette out.
" I better go. See you later. " she runs off towards the car.

I quickly chase down Robin, asking if she had any pot. " Try Munson, he sits at the picnic table in the woods and should still be there. If you play nice you might get a good deal. "
Fuck my life.

Walking into the woods, the feel ir or familiarity over comes me. It's been a life time since I've walked this path.
" Hopper?. " I jump, turning to face Eddie. " Holy shit Munson, don't do that. " he laughs before asking if I'm okay.
" yeah, I'm just looking for some green for a friend. " He looks at me in a suspicious manner. " when was the last time you tried to buy from me? Didn't that sale fall through?. " he raises an eye brow. " Yes because you were an ass and it led to our hatred. " he grabs his chest, falling off his chair in a mocking manner.
We continue chatting and laughing back and forth before I ask him to get down to business. I still need to get this shit to Chrissy.
