Chapter 6 - Alive

Korn

I was just drinking my liquor and i was resting, and thinking, but suddenly, Chan told me something. 

"Sir."

"What is it?"

"He's still alive." 

After he said that, I totally knew who it was. 

"Your brother, Sir Kant. He's still alive. "

"Oh that man. Where is he? Where did you see him? "

"Big is still on his break, sir, right? Big is still in Chiang Mai. While he was grocery shopping in Gate Market in Chiang Mai, he saw Sir Kant buying things. Big also told me he looked healthy. "

"I think this will help the case for Pete, sir. I'll give this information to them." 

"No, don't tell them yet. Don't tell them that Kant is alive. It will cause a lot of problems. Don't tell anyone, especially Vegas and Macau. Let them know themselves. "

"Ok, sir. But do you need something else?"

"Yes, I want to watch the CCTV footage when the suspect stabbed Pete. I asked Vegas to send me the file. " 

"Yes, sir, Ohh wait, Sir Vegas sent me the file already. I'll just set this up sir." 

The file has already played and I'm studying every detail that is in the crime scene. While I was observing, I saw a lot of familiar actions that the suspect did. He also has the same birthmark as someone I know. By watching it, I remembered something that Kant told me.I was 18 at the time and he was 11. I remember the time when Kant and I were best friends, still enjoying our lives. But someone ruined our relationship as brothers after Mom died of cardiac arrest. Things got worse between the both of us. We were no longer best friends. It was our dad who ruined everything.

"P'korn!" he shouted.

Kant is a really stubborn kid. He doesn't listen to Papa and me. He only listens to mama. He's a mama's boy, while I was a papa's boy.

"Pa always gives me a lot of books to read. I don't want to read, I just want to play like the other kids do. " 

"Kant, Papa, and Mama wants you to read everything because everything that's in that book are really important, so you should know every detail. Understood? "

"Yea yea." He said. 

"Bro, look at this. A stab wound can cause a coma. " 

"Yes."

"Why? Can you please explain it to me? "

"Fine. A stab wound can cause a coma? Yes.  A coma is a type of medical condition that occurs after a blunt or sharp force injury to the head. It can also be caused by other injuries. For instance, if a person gets stabbed, their body goes into shock as it can't compensate for the loss of blood. This type of trauma can lead to brain ischemia. This condition can affect the nervous system and other organs."

"Wow, thank you for helping me." I clearly did not understand anything of what you just said. It just got harder. He smiled. 

"You know what, you're just 11; I'm pretty sure you'll know a lot of this when you grow up. You just need to take your time. "

"I just want to be smart like you. So Papa will be proud of me too. "

"Papa is already proud."

"Really?! When did he say that? " 

"I don't remember when, but I remember he told me how smart you are! And also, Papa said, When you and I grow up, we'll have our own company together. I promise we will both be gonna the one of the most successful business partners in the world. I promise that. " 

When we were still kids, I wanted Kant to feel that Papa loved him too. I always feel bad for Kant. I wanted him to feel loved. But I think he didn't see how much effort I made just to make Papa proud of him. Kant is not the favorite child. Our Papa always compared Kant to me. Kant got really jealous of me. After Papa died, Pa gave me the main family ring. and gave Kant the Minor Family ring. Kant is not satisfied because "minor" means second. After Pa died, Kant didn't look at me as his older brother; he thought of me as a race. It's like we are always in a competition. He always compared himself to me. I love him. I really love my brother. I've always wanted to be best friends with him again. but I don't think that will happen in our situation right now.

"Chan, Kant is the suspect."

"Yes, sir, that's why he looks so familiar."

"Chan, why did he do this to Pete? I know he's angry at me, but why pete? "

"Because Pete is Sir Vegas's boyfriend. That's what I think sir."

"Should we inform them, sir?"

"No. Let's wait until Pete gets better. "

After interviewing Tawan and Ken, we went back to the hospital. Tankhun and I are confused about why Kinn and Porsche are smiling. What's happening?

"Vegas," Porsche said while smiling.

"What? Why are you guys smiling? " I asked.

"Pete is getting better!" 

"Really?! Is he already awake? " 

"No, not yet, but he's getting better, the doctor said," Kinn said. 

I'm so happy that Pete is getting better! I can't wait for him to wake up!
