Chapter 5: Past Friendship

Optimus Prime thinks back to the day he and Megatron met when they were Orion Pax and Megatronus.

(Flashback)

Orion Pax was with his girlfriend, Ariel and their childhood friends: Melione, Dionysus, and Osiris as they were swimming their way to Kaon as they arrived at the Gladiatorial Arena and sit on their seats.

The gate opened below as a merman appeared, he was bright silver and red, has deep blue eyes, and carries a shield and a sword "Mermaids and Mermen, I give you Megatronus! The undefeated gladiator and champion of Kaon" the announcer exclaimed as the crowd cheered "Megatronus? Didn't that name use to belong one of the Original Thirteen Primes?" Orion said.

"Yes, you see Megatronus started as a unnamed slave miner then he moved to be a gladiator and he had heard the legend of The Fallen a.k.a Megatronus Prime and that's what gave him the idea to name himself after one of the Original Thirteen" Melione explained.

When the guard released the beast, Orion Pax was nervous if the gladiator could defeat the creature. Then to his surprise, the gladiator had defeated the beast with ease as Megatronus swims on top of the beast "And the winner of the arena is: Megatronus!" the announcer said.

The crowd cheered and clapped their hands as Megatronus does an epic speech "Thank you, thank you all! Though I will admit that if not for my strength and cunning, I would not have survived another day in the arena at the Pits of Kaon. Know this, for as long as I live, you will all be inspired by me to never fear your enemies! Thanks to my teachers, I have become more stronger, greater, powerful, and more fearless than I was before! And one day, we will all fight as one for the good of the people and for the good of Cyberlantis and for our life-giver, Primus. Does anyone agree with me?" he asked.

"YES!!!" said the citizens of Kaon as they cheered. Orion Pax was moved by Megatronus' words and he also agreed with his words of inspiration as he clapped his hands and smiled at the champion. Later that day, Orion Pax was hanging out with Ariel when he decided that he wanted to meet Megatronus himself. However, no one was allowed to have an autographing session with one of the champions and gladiators of Kaon.

Melione was able to help him as they entered the entrance that she was able to unlock it. Orion Pax and Melione wandered around the Gladiatoral Pits looking for one of the champions and the gladiators of Kaon. "I don't get it, Where is he?" Orion asked while looking around.

"I don't know, but I'm hungry" Melione responded as her stomach growled while sighing "Look, let's find that gladiator, then we'll go back to, I feel like Alpha Trion might be upset if we're caught by security or some beast" Orion said as Melione nodded and they continued looking.

They kept searching for the gladiator and decided to go back before they go back to Iacon, they bumped into someone "Oof! Oh, by the Allspark! We're so..." Orion was about to apologize when he was surprised that he bumped into the gladiator that he and Melione were searching for: Megatronus.

"How did you get in here? Are you lost?" Megatronus asked "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! We found him; The Champion of Kaon, the one and only Megatronus!" Melione said, feeling hyped up and excited to see the famous gladiator. "Sorry, no autographs are allowed in here" Megatronus said.

"Please, forgive us. We're not here for your signature, we just wanted to meet you" Orion anxiously explained. "Well, this is rather unexpected, what are your names?" Megatronus asked. "I'm Melione, this is Orion Pax, he's a big fan of yours! Also, I'm hungry" Melione said. "I'm not...clearly, we came uninvited. Could you show us the way out before we get into trouble?" Orion asked.

"Megatronus smirked "Not from around here, are you? Don't worry, I know a place where we can hide" the gladiator told the clerk and his friend. They were outside the Kaon Halls and he got them food. Orion shared his interest of Megatronus' speech as the gladiator told him the corruption and injustice in the Caste System. Megatronus became surprised when Orion was also aware of the corruption in the Caste System.
