"You know I'm your girl and I know that too," Catherine huffed as she paced up and down Charlie's yard.
"I don't understand why you would want to keep it a secret, I love you Cat and I want all of Small Heath to know" Tommy shrugged, "Hell I want the whole world to know!"
Catherine couldn't help but let a small smile creep on to her face, she grabbed Tommy's hand and placed a gentle kiss on his knuckles. "I know Tom, but I don't want pa to find out from other people. Give me a week to tell him and then you can tell whoever you want," the young girl dropped his hand and climbed on top of a barrel, "we can tell the whole world!" She screamed. Thomas laughed at her antics, "you really are one of a kind Catherine Martin, and I am mad about you." Catherine giggled as Tommy put his hands out to help her down, "well I've spent my whole life around you Shelby's, I have to be a little crazy to fit in with you lot."

Catherine made her way down Watery Lane in the hopes of catching up with her best friend, as she entered the betting den she looked around and couldn't spot the short haired girl. She made her way to the double doors, "where is she today then Pol?" Polly continued to butter her bread, "Good morning Cat, it's nice to see you too" Catherine smiled as she wrapped her arms around the lady's waist. "I haven't seen her in two days, she's usually torturing me" Polly smiled "I think our Ada might be in love," Catherine moved back "in love? I still haven't found out who he is" she scoffed, "well you better get to work, I don't know either."
