Chapter 5

Reiner is holding me, Bertholdt and Eren in his hands away from the scouts. I'm still tied up along with Eren. I tried to slam my head into Bertholdt but he stopped me by pushing me down. "Why do you only hate me but not Reiner?" Yelled Bertholdt. You died. No redemption like Annie or Reiner had but I can't say that. I just looked at the slight crack in Reiner's palms. I saw Mikasa giving Bertholdt a death glare that nearly scared the shit out of me. Then they gave a speech about drinking while old and I shed a tear. I actually feel bad for Bertholdt. Erwin led the titans to us... Bring it.

Reiner started to bulldoze through them like the beast of a titan he is. Beast... I see what I did there. I heard Erwin from a distance say charge. Here it comes. As the titans were attacking more, Reiner dropped his hands... This left me exposed to all the titans. Eren and Bertholdt could just transform but me... Nah I'm a weak human with no swords. I'm surprised that I'm not dead. Who am I kidding? This shit show is just beginning. Oh and the surprising thing of the day... Erwin got his hand eaten off. I should lend him a hand... too much? Ya I thought so.

Armin distracted Bertholdt while my boy Erwin slashed Bertholdt. They managed to save me and Eren but Ymir stayed. Erwin declared us to retreat.

When we got back, I saw Levi. He gave me a look. He looked the same but pissed. I could tell in actuality that he was frightened that he'd lose another comrade and maybe a friend.

"I'm fine Levi. Don't give me that look." I said. Levi didn't like what I said and threw me against the nearby wall. Kinky. Just kidding. He didn't stop glaring at me and I was actually wondering if he'd share his emotions for once. He then punched on the wall and just walked to the lunch hall. I decided to visit Erwin in the hospital ward. He was badly injured. "Um SIr... Hello. My name is (y/n) (l/n) and I'm now in Captain Levi's squad. I've come here to replace your bandages if you will allow me to." I said as I bowed. He laughed lightly which shocked me. He looked depressed just a minute ago. I guess he was just thinking to himself.


Erwin's POv-

(y/n) (l/n) walked in to treat my wound or a missing arm. She was the woman that Levi is in love with. I could understand but I myself have given up on the thought of a relationship but I wish Levi luck. He did seem worried when she was taken by Reiner and Bertholdt and I understand the whole situation. Reiner and Levi are going after the same woman. She's independent yet asks for help when really needed. She's not afraid to die if she could save someone. I was told by Hange that she pulled a knife out and slashed a titan to save Historia. It was a small kitchen knife that she stabbed in its eye and then she pulled it out and stabbed it deeply into the back of the nape. If she didn't reach the spot, she would just slam her hand inside it's nape to get the knife deeper. She is a truly brave soldier but I'm afraid that her being brave will be her downfall. Anyways I'm getting distracted with my thoughts. (y/n) came over to the right side and changed my bandages. It briefly hurt but I realize that my fallen comrades have felt worse. I bulldozed through the pain. She then decided to shave my face. I thanked her after she finished and then she left as quickly as she came. About ten minutes later, Levi entered the room. He was here to change my bandages. I told him that (y/n) already did it so he didn't need to worry about me. His face turned from his usual to one of shock.

Levi's POV

I keep having to remind myself that she is almost seventeen while I'm twenty four. I can't love her. Plus the scouts don't end up good for the lovey dovey type. They always get eaten. I'm just surprised how Eren is still alive even though he is so emotional. I decided to take my leave to go check on (y/n). She's been in my mind for a while so I decided to visit her. It's not like I'm doing it for love or anything like that. Hopefully none of these brats find out. I was walking and eventually came across her sitting under a tree. It's how we first met. I could hear her sing something but as soon as I took a step forward to listen, she turned around and immediately stopped when she saw me. I just wanted to hear her sing even if it sounds like a cat in heat.

"Hey Brat." I said as I sat down beside her. She didn't say anything and just looked down. "I said HEY BRAT!" I began to yell to get her attention but I guess she wasn't in the mood to talk. I was confused but then it came to me. "You love that blonde hair named Reiner. The armored titan and the traitor." I said and then she frowned. She didn't even try to deny it. "Well, do you?" I asked, starting to get pissed off. She just nodded.

I don't love anyone romantically and I never will. Sure I've felt my heart beat when I'm around Reiner and Levi but I try to stop anything further. THey won't die but I will. I want to stop them from getting closer to me. I want to end titans and die in peace knowing that I made the world a better place. When Levi asked me if I loved Reiner, I just nodded my head not thinking about anything except making Levi less closer but it did the opposite. He sat his head on my shoulder. "You better not tell anyone about this brat." He said before closing his eyes. I decided to do the same.

Reiner's POV (In Shiganshina)

Ymir was sent back to Marley and we met Zeke and Pieck. Turns out that Zeke killed Miche in a way. I didn't care really and Bertholdt noticed. "You loved her, didn't you?" asked Bertholdt. "Ya but I have to bury these feelings because I'm a Marlan warrior. This means I have to kill my comrades including the woman I loved.
