*In a cloud of dust and spiderwebs, a figure appears*
Sam: Wait where am I, what happened?! *they look around at the scenery around them; it's their old backyard* Well damn, I don't... live here anymore. Must be super awkward for whoever lives here now. The earth is still singed from the lava pit.
*There is the phantom sound of ominous bubbling*
Sam: Yeahhh okay. How long has it been since I last officially worked on this thing? *checks phone* Yikes! Seems like some reintroductions are in order.
*They grin awkwardly and shuffle their feet*
Sam: So, uh, hi again! I am, well, I was Spirit, but I go by Sam now, and sometime in the five years between finishing this story and now I have somehow lost my gender. Needless to say, a lot has changed. For instance, I am now 21 years old and in college! So... with all that in order, why am I here after all this time, posting on an account that I abandoned in a story that concluded while I was still in high school? I got nostalgic.
*There's a moment of awkward silence*
Sam: So... how's everyone liking the TMM reboot so far? I'm enjoying it! The reboot is kind of the whole reason I've decided to write this epilogue of sorts. Tokyo Mew Mew was basically my first internet fandom and there's a lot of fond memories to look back on in regards to my time here. Being able to see the anime get some attention all these years after it ended is really awesome, and the fact that I get to experience this week by week as the episodes air is so special, much more special than watching all of them years after the og show ended. I love the characters, I love how Kisshu is already, somehow, more unhinged than he was to begin with, and I love that Aoyama is getting some personality and love too. I just, ahhhh it makes me feel like a teenager again in the best possible way.
So... what does that mean for this?
*The phantom bubbling seems to have gotten louder*
Sam: Well, I'm not gonna continue it, if that's what anyone is hoping for (you're not)
*The bubbling stops*
Sam: Honestly I'm not really active on this site anymore. I moved to a different account and then abandoned that shortly after as well. Sometimes I upload on ao3, but just like here, I still can't keep a consistent schedule, heh.
*Another awkward silence*
Sam: Well, I guess that's pretty much it for me. If anyone is still around and still enjoys Tokyo Mew Mew, have you seen the reboot yet? If so, what are your thoughts?
With all that out of the way, I'll be going now. See you... Somewhere? Maybe?
*And with that they vanish in another cloud of dust and spiderwebs*
