y/n's pov"Yes mom, I know. It's ok you can trust Joseph he is responsible. Plus it's only a couple of months. I'll be back in no time." I say to my mom on the phone. I'm staying with Joseph in NYC while we go to interviews and photoshoots for stranger things. I play his little sister Kat Munson in the show so Joseph is pretty much my big brother in real life. "You unpacked yet?" He asks as I head out of my room. "Almost," I say as I sit next to him on the couch. "We should go out. Get some dinner." He says. "Yeah, you're right. I'll finish unpacking and then we can head out." I say going back to my room.

"Ready?" Joseph asks grabbing his wallet. "Yup. Let's do this." I say as we both head out the door. I live in Massachusetts which isn't too far from NYC. My family likes to visit NYC but always complains about how they would never live here. I on the other hand would sell a limb to live in NYC, so I am more than excited to stay with Joseph. We walk into a small cafe/coffee shop with a bookstore attached. "Here I'll order you to go pick a book out." He says handing me a 20 as he waves me off. I mumble thanks and walk up and down the aisles. "Little Women. A classic." I hear a voice say from behind me. I turn around to see a boy about my age. "Sorry didn't mean to scare you." He says. "No, you're good. You've read Little Women?" I ask curiously. "Yup plenty of times. You?" He asks. "Yeah I actually have a copy at home, but I'm staying with a friend and want to reread it," I explain. He nods and takes the book from my hands. "How about the book is on me?" He asks. "Oh, it's fine really," I say reaching to grab it back. "No. It's ok. Let me buy a pretty girl like you a book. Please." He says. "No! I don't even know your name I can't just let you buy me a book." I say chasing after him as he runs to the cash register. "Why does it matter mystery girl?" He says teasingly as he pays for the book. "Do you want to keep your receipt?" The cashier asks. "Yes, can I also borrow a pen real quick?" He asks her. "Sure." She hands him the pen and he scribbles something quickly, before putting the receipt in the book. "Here." He says handing it back to me with a huge grin on his face. "Thanks," I say. He nods his head awkwardly and walks away. What the fuck just happened? A million thoughts go through my head as I sit down with Joseph. "Here's your twenty back," I say handing him the bill. "Did you not buy something?" He asks questioningly. "No, this random boy bought it for me."
