A new day

(Wyatts pov)

I wake up to an alarm that is blasting my music and I look at my phone and notice I am going to be late for class, I threw on my uniform fast and tripped down the stairs but I got my pants on and walked to the kitchen putting my shirt on and dad was in the kitchen with mom still in his Nightwing suit. Mom was trying to cook breakfast but it was looking a little burnt so I grabbed some toast and started to run out the door but ran into uncle Jason we collided so hard he went flying out of the door" sorry uncle Jason I'm running a little late and it the first day of school" I went to fly off but Jason grabbed my hand" let me take you nephew I was actually here to talk to your parents but I will come back later let's go". I ran back inside and hug my mom and my dad and ran outside, Jason was on his motorcycle which I haven't been on it since I was six, I got on right behind him and he took off, I missed the feeling of the wind against my face and hair since school started mom and dad don't want me flying around Gotham that much anymore since grandpa bats don't like me getting into trouble, especially since the joker incident with superman if grandpa didn't snap him out of the fear toxin who knows what could have gone bad. we get closer to the school and I start to feel funny like I did when my powers first manifested but I know my limits and I haven't been pushing myself, we stop in front of the school with 3 minutes to spare and I hop off of the motorcycle and run towards the door but I look back and wave at Jason, he waves back and takes off screaming" see you after school punk" I couldn't help but chuckle and I walk inside the school and the hallway was crowded with kids, this is an actual highschool I've been to, considering we transferred from bludhaven considering how many fights I've gotten into. I got to my locker and started to open it up then somebody slammed the locker closed on my fingers and I had to pretend it hurt considering I don't feel that much pain then they pull my shirt and make me face them" listen to us kid your new here so we will take it easy on you give us your lunch money and we won't beat you to a pulp" I laughed in this kids face and I couldn't stop laughing, then he raised his fist and went to hit me but was stopped by this beautiful girl that honestly made my heart skip a beat, I wonder if dad felt something like this. They turned their attention to her and one of them raised a hand towards her and I grabbed his hand and pulled him to hit the guy holding my shirt then their other buddy tried attacking me but I tripped him and he fell on the floor I moved out of the way so I can get to class and the girl grabbed my right arm and walked with me I looked at her and smiled" well you must be some kind of hero to save a guy like me" she looked at me and smiled and her blue eyes were so mesmerizing and she playfully hit my arm" earth to the new kid, I asked what your name is maybe quit looking into my eyes and talk". I rubbed the back of my neck with my left arm" my name is Wyatt Grayson and like those meatheads back they kinda knew that I'm pretty new here" she smiled again" Well my name is jacky quinzel and I know a lot about your dad he was a cop in bludhaven and his father is bruce Wayne wow I just met a celebrity and hey I got the same first period as you, we should sit next to each other I have so many questions" I smile and look at her" yeah it would be nice to make a few friends here in Gotham and maybe find out what it's like".

We walked into our first class and I see Helena Wayne who is my aunt technically,  she runs up and hugs me kinda making jacky back off a bit and she hugs me tight" how are you doing my nephew, and geez you have grown so tall" I kind of flicked her forehead a little" well I am older than you by 2 years so sucks to be you" I look over to Jacky and she looks confused as hell, I clear my throat" Jacky meet my aunt Helena Wayne" Jacky's jaw I could tell wants to hit the floor but she keeps her composer" well It's nice to meet you miss Wayne I just met your nephew today so hope to learn more about your family as I can" Helena elbows me in the side so I would lean to her level" just don't tell her about the tights" I chuckle and push her away for a bit and the bell rung so everybody went to their seat.  Jacky sat to the left of me and the bully from earlier sat to my right and I immediately knew that I was going to end up fighting him before this school year is done, the teacher came in and started roll call and when he got to my name he stopped for a second then looked at me" Mr. Grayson this is a non-fighting school so you will not cause any trouble while you are here understood" I nodded my head and look at Helena and she raised her brow and I told her in sign language I would tell her everything when school is over, The school day went by pretty fast considering I didn't pay attention because I was trying to figure out why Quinzel sounded so familiar, while I was at my locker I pulled out my arm communicator so I could look up the name and when it hit me I couldn't help but sigh because there was nothing much on jacky. I closed my locker and walked out of the doors then I was greeted with a fist to my face, I looked at the guy that hit me and of course, it was the same guy I was ready to fight and I clenched my fist and went to hit him but my dad stopped me" now I know he hit you but maybe this can be handled another time we need to talk about something" I looked at the other guy and then walked away, he then said something under his breath and I turned around with a quickness only to see Jacky hit him in his face hard enough to where his nose started bleeding and he went to hit Jacky and I grabbed his hand and started squeezing trying to break his hand, I felt Jacky put her hand on my shoulder" Wyatt stop you hurting him you have to stop please" I let him go and he fell to the ground holding his hand. I walked toward my dad and he put his hand on my shoulder" say goodbye to your friend Wyatt trust me, son, she seems like a nice kid considering she tried protecting you" I turned around and looked at Jacky and she hugged me and place her hand on my face" your gonna have a bruise for a while make sure you keep ice on it okay and don't try to fight him he's just jealous because I won't even give him a time of day to talk because I don't like him, Be careful please Wyatt your a nice guy" she gave me a little kiss on the cheek and walked away, I turned around and looked at my dad and he gave me a smile" wow barely moved here and already got a girl falling for you but let's go son trust me". We got to the gate and a limo was there and Alfred was there holding the door open and I rushed to give him a hug"Alfred I haven't see you in a while how are you and hows grandpa bruce" he rubs my head and smiles" we are going to see him right now master Grayson and I am as good as I can be now get in the car there is a lot to discuss" I got into the car and mom was in there with a big smile on her face" So first day here and you got a girl falling for you, you are your fathers son" I smiled and laid on the seat and opened my communicator on my arm and I felt dads hand on my shoulder" you really took that to school if you were caught with that they would have taken it and they would have called the government". I nodded and looked at him" I was trying to find some intel on some people" I went back to the communicator and was able to pull up the file on harley quinn finally considering im not good at hacking  and I could tell dad was looking over my shoulder because I heard him talking to mom about it, I read her whole file but it says she had no kids but she did have a sister and brother, so I tried bringing up their files but it said the brother had a kid while the aunt adopted a kid but didnt give a name I closed the communicator and just sighed and looked at dad" well there is no hiding it because I know you were looking over my shoulder but her name is Jacky Quinzel and there is barely anything on her files and it frustrates me".

Dad put his hand on my shoulder again" well you will have to do a lot of detective work then son I know you can do it trust me, my son and I know you can do it" I nodded, and since its a long way to Wayne manor, I close my eyes so I can take a nap but sometimes it brings unwanted quest into my head and speak of the devil there is Arella, she waits till I fall asleep to have our daily training session but she seems out of it, I walk up to her and her demon eyes are out and she shoots around her shadows and I know if I get hit by any of them I will go into a coma type sleep, I throw my black star bolts at her which caused her to get more pissed off and she hit me with one of the tentacle things and I didn't get engulfed by the shadows instead they floated around me and when I looked around I saw aunt raven. They both started fighting and I knew we had to knock her out to keep control of the situation, even though I was in my mind I didn't have any of my gear so I ran towards her while dodging both Arella and her mom's attacks because it could hurt if I get hit, I got close to Arella and she sent out sharp tendrils at me and I dodge most of them but one managed to hit me right in my arm and I felt all of the evil inside of her trying to consume me, I built all of the energy I had into my left arm and I hit Arella with it and she fell to the ground and I felt the tendril come out of my arm, I felt the evil leave my body. Aunt raven flew down to me and healed my arm"Im sorry she has been struggling with the demon side lately, she has been dealing with nightmares lately saying a great evil coming this way but we have checked with the justice league multiple times and nothing is coming" I just sighed and shook my head" what if it hasn't shown its face yet maybe it's waiting for the right time to strike, like how trigon did maybe evil is on its way" then the landscape changed and we were in space near a fire planet and then I woke up in the limo clutching my chest and mom immediately checked on me" Wyatt what's wrong" I looked at mom and shook my head" Arella appeared in my dream and she lost control when aunt raven came and we knocked out Arella she made us see a planet that was on fire". Dad placed both hands on my shoulders" are you sure on what you saw because if that what you saw then maybe we need to be prepared" I nodded and looked at mom" trust me I know what I saw but that was all just the planet" The car then stopped and I looked at dad and he looks at me" right now lets keep it family bussiness while we are here since most of wayne enterprise is going to be here as well okay" I nodded and practicly jumped out of the car and saw The kents and Grandpa bruce talking, ace came up and started to lick my face" I missed you too buddy its been awhile but im going to be here for awhile". I saw Damian and Jonathan walking up and I waved hi, the only one to wave back was Jonathan, Damian just stared at me like usual, and Mr.kent walked up to me with a smile" well look who has grown up" I looked at Clark" Hello Mister Kent and I havent grown that much since you have seen me sir" Mister kent put his hand on my shoulder" I told you just call me Clark I have known you since you were little and A little bird told me something about you having some type of news for us" I looked at my dad and he couldnt help but laugh and shrug his shoulders, I just smiled and shook my head" well theres this girl thats just...Man, she is amazing, She's smart and fearless, and her Blue eyes just make you see the ocean". I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings and Everybody was around me just smiling, except grandma Selena and grandpa bruce because they think I'm still too young but I honestly don't care because grandpa bruce said never to date a villain yet he is married to one, then mister kent shook me" Hey Wyatt you still on earth buddy everybody is going inside" I shook my head a bit" sorry mister kent didn't mean to zone out but go ahead don't worry about me I will be in there in a bit just need to get myself together before I go and socialize with people". Mister kent then patted my back" I know bruce is rough around the edge but he just doesn't want you to get hurt because if something were to happen to her you would be unstoppable because... well that's a story for another time I will see you inside son" I watched him walk away and I just stood there thinking about what he said and I took a deep breath before I went into the mansion.
