Chapter 1

There once was a lonely girl called Isabella. She had one problem, her family. All of them always looked at her like a disappointment and she hated it.

Finally one day she met her soulmate, her love. Jonas was a handsome young man, who studied in the same college as Isabella. He had even worse problems at home, his father abused him mentally and physically, which soon turned him into a monster, but this monster was nicely controlled within Jonas.

Without knowing about this huge problem Isabella fell deeply in love with Jonas, and Jonas was more than happy to marry her. They got married without their parents knowing and ran away to another country.

Though they were poor Isabella was happy, but she didn't know that her husband was actually cheating with her on a richer woman, his greed and want for money made him blind to Isabella's true love for him.

Soon they were blessed with a handsome baby boy and named him Nicholas, and a few more years went by peacefully and they were again blessed with a beautiful baby, but this time a girl and she had beautiful locks of bright red hair which was totally unexpected as no one in their family had red hair. But Isabella taking this as a blessing from God, named her Scarlett.

Jonas always considered Scarlett as a curse, and it was proved right. Isabella was diagnosed with Breast cancer the very next day after the birth. Jonas blamed it on Scarlett and started calling her jeoju, which meant curse in Korean, from then on.

Isabella loved Scarlett and loved spending time with her, they became best friends. They became so close that everyone including Nicholas also started becoming jealous of their relationship. Scarlett was really clever for her age she knew how to read and write by the age of 2.

Until Scarlett was 3 everything was well, the family lived happily with no problems.

Then One day terror struck and the race of problems started for Scarlett.

Isabella saw Jonas kissing another girl and was heartbroken. That day there was a huge fight, both nick and Scarlett were scared for their parents.

From that day on they never talked to each other, Isabella would either be doing chores or be in her room. Jonas would never be home early and at 4 in the morning he would go to his girlfriend's home and return home drunk at 12 midnight.

One day Isabella's cancer became severe and she was admitted to the hospital. Scarlett cried her heart out and Isabella didn't want to see her baby like this. The Doctor had announced that she only had a few more hours to live.

"Scarlett, please don't cry I won't die, just stay away from me for one day without looking or calling me the next day I will come back to you safe and sound," said Isabella.

Naïve Scarlett Listened to her mother and left with Nick.
