The map was named 'New North'. It showed me the new paths towards different establishments. Apparently, there were three big camps around the area. It was already abandoned.

I wondered what happened to the past residents...

The map led me to an underground passage from the arena to the main camp. At first, I almost gave up just analyzing the map. I was never good with geography... and to explore a place this unfamiliar and fully restructured, it was hellish.

It wasn't the main route of any person in authority, so I felt safe under.

I closed my eyes as the water ran down my throat.

I waited until my hand stopped shaking. Wendy told me something about the mutated virus attacking my nervous system. This must be it. It was all the more reason for me to act this soon. I would be rendered useless once my body gave up on me.

The light seeping through the underground passage began more and more faint with my every step. I needed this done in three days. Or less. I was growing numb inside, conditioning my mind to never think of backing down no matter what may happen.

The walk trip was fairly peaceful for about half a day already.

The feeling of being alone felt new to me.

I just needed this over with so I could feel safe for all the people at the camp. The people in the bunker... I felt bad for abandoning them after I made them choose between me and my father. But again, I was doing this for them. I wouldn't rest until this was completely put to its permanent halt.

Another hour of walking about nine kilometers, I finally reached the signage leading to my father's camp. I heard footsteps from above, making me vigilant and anxious at the same time. Upon the realization that the group of people that walked past above me were already gone, I held on tightly to the metal ladder leading up to an entry that seemingly looked like a manhole.
