"I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!"
"GOOD 'CAUSE GUESS WHAT?! WE'RE THROUGH, BELLA! DO YOU FUCKING HEAR ME?! THROUGH!!"
I was in my small room leaning against the door while holding on to my teddy bear. I was sitting down with my knees cradled against my chest while I was hearing my parents argue...again.
"YOU ARE NOT LEAVING ME BEHIND. WHAT ABOUT YOUR DAMN DAUGHTER?!", I heard my mother yell as I heard her break down into sobs.
There was a moment of silence, but then, "Goodbye Isabella. Tell Vanessa that daddy loves her", and from there, I heard a door slam shut. I quietly got up and slightly opened the door to see a good view of my mom on her knees while her long black hair hid her face while she was in her white night gown.
She was crying.
I was only four at the time.
I didn't know where my dad went.
I slowly walked up to her, kneeled down in front of her and pushed pieces of her hair behind her ear so I could get a good view of her face.
She looked up at me, revealing her bloodshot chocolate brown eyes while she's still pouring in tears.
"Is mommy ok?", I asked while I held her face in both my hands while wiping away fresh tears. She held my hand to her face and quietly said, "Mommy is just having a bad time right now 'Nessa".
"Where is daddy going?", I asked while I was still holding a firm grip on her face with my small hands.
She stayed quiet while keeping her eyes on mine and then said, "Daddy needs some time right now to cool off..he'll be back tomorrow".
Sadly, that 'tomorrow' of my dad returning home never came.
He left my mom along with me and our small apartment.
He never came back.
