Will was a bit miffed. Nico never wanted to spend time with him anymore, and he had no idea why. Will knew Nico was extremely moody and unpredictable, but to begin ignoring him completely was a bit out of Nico's character.

He walked towards the Hades cabin; Nico usually liked to hang out there now that he decided to stay at camp for a bit. Will was about to barge in when he remembered last night's incident. He had waltzed into the room to find a half naked Nico just coming out of the shower. He froze, his eyes wide with shock and embarrassment and began throwing and shouting random things at Will until he ran out, his face burning.

Not again, Will thought, and tapped on the door.

"Yeah!" yelled a male voice.

"Nico? It's me!" He replied, knowing the boy inside would recognize his voice.

"Oh... come on in, Will." Nico said, almost disappointed.

Will cautiously opened the door, peering in to the dark room that always gave him the creeps. It was dark and cold, and the floor seemed to be made of black bone material. It smelled like death and roses, which reminded him of the Hunger Games. He shivered.

"Hey..." Will said softly, sitting next to the frail boy on the edge of the black bed, "You okay?"

Nico didn't reply and by now, Will knew something was wrong. He wanted to pull Nico into his arms and tell him everything would be okay, but he didn't think it would be wise. He knew Nico didn't like being touched.

Nico looked at him, his eyes tearing up. He hardly ever cried, and when he did, Will was always there. The tears soon came pouring, and all Will could do was pat him on the back.

"Wanna talk about it?" He asked, hoping Nico would trust him enough to say.

Nico sniffed and nodded.

He's so cute when he does that! Will thought, quickly chiding himself for thinking such a thing when his friend was so upset.

"I... I just don't know what to do, Will!" He sobbed, "I told Percy he wasn't my type, but I still like him a lot! Now, it's so embarrassing talking to him, and it hurts so bad when he's all over Annabeth, and-" His voice broke, tears once again streaming down his face. Nico had been through so much, and Will just wanted to wash away his pain. He wanted him to be his...

"Listen, Nico, sometimes things don't always work out the way you want, but just know that one day the pain will stop, and you'll find that special person. Maybe they're even right in front of you..." He looked up at Nico, trying to send him signals, but the death boy slowly smiled.

"Thanks, Will... I swear you're like the brother I never had..."

Crack. Will felt as if his heart were being thrust into a wood chipper, but he managed a weak smile back.

"Thanks..." He said, trying not to burst into tears himself. He'd never been thrust in the "brother zone" so completely. He sighed and got up off the bed.

"Well, if you ever need me... You know where to find me..." And with that, Will left the cabin, ready for the next activity. I really need to grow a pair... He mumbled inaudibly, regretting his dicision to let Nico figure things out on his own.
