Nico was such a wimp. He had completely broken down in front of Will yesterday all because of a little heartbreak. He kinda felt bad for putting Will in such a weird situation. Nico had made the decision to tell him about his homosexuality, but he was starting to think it was a bad idea. He felt like it was putting a lot of weight on the poor guy.

Oh, well, Nico thought, it's his fault for caring so much...

He sat on the campfire bench, knowing he'd be the only one to come for a while. He tended to come early since he had no life. His life was... well, death. In a way, though, Nico liked being alone; It gave him time to think.

"Hey," someone said so suddenly, Nico jumped. To Nico's surprise it was... Percy?! Nico looked up only to quickly turn away. Oh, no, Oh, no, He thought, feeling his heart rate increase.

He came over and sat next to him by the firewood.

"Watcha doin' here all alone," Percy asked, giving him a look that made Nico want to melt. He felt the heat rising in his face and quickly turned away.

"N-nothing," Nico stuttered, trying to maintain his composure.

"Oh," Percy replied, filling the air with so much awkward silence, it was getting hard to breathe.

Percy cleared his throat.

"Well, you know I just wanted to say... I'm sorry," he said, his eyes sparkling with sadness. Nico looked up at Percy and scowled.

"For what?" he snapped, not really meaning to get angry. Percy dropped his gaze in shame.

"For... hurting you... or whatever..." he mumbled, picking at the hem of his shirt. Nico was surprised, and then angry.

How am I supposed to get over him if he keeps on doing sweet stuff like apologizing to me! He thought, mentally face palming himself. Nico glowered and twisted the silver skull ring around his finger.

"Yeah, well, it's not the first time," he said, his eyes still glued to the floor, "It wasn't your fault anyway..." Nico looked at Percy. He was looking up, at the sky, with his hair blowing around his face, and a sort of sad look in his sea-green eyes. Percy moved his gaze to Nico, who was too mesmerized to look away, and they just stared at each other. love me... Nico thought, as Percy slowly leaned in. Their lips brushed against each other, and Percy jumped up, touching his mouth. Nico's lips felt tingly and warmer than usual. His heart was beating faster than it ever had. Percy backed away, blushing.

"I... I gotta go!" He said, a bit too loud, still covering his mouth. He spun around and stumbled over a nearby log, recovering just in time. Nico giggled at the clumsy display, but quickly chided himself. Whatever just happened was only an illusion... He has a girlfriend... He thought, only half believing himself. He was relieved when the rest of Camp Half Blood filled in for campfire night, and when Will lumbered over with a small smile on his face.
