Chapter 6

"You heard it right Stephanny, Chicago will be waiting for you. You can take along Sylvia if you want to."

"But Ma'am--"

I got cut off by Sylvia.

"Will it be free Ma'am? Do we have to pay for anything?"

Sylvia asked.

"Wait wait wait, what about tour work Sylvia?"

"It's going to be fine Stephanny"

"Good questions Sylvia, it will actually be handled by the other company. All will be free."

"Fine, i'll just tell my Mother" I thought.

"Ok, i'll agree" i smiled

"It's for my job afterall and also for the company" I added.

"Then everything is settled."

"You'll both take your leave at 28" dinagdag ni Ma'am Anri.

We finished our food, and Sylvia and i went out the office to get back to our works.

"Ba't ka pala sasama?" Natanong ko kay Sylvia.

Mukha siyang masaya para lang pumunta sa Chicago.

"Alala mo pa yung sinabi ko na nakilala ko sa dating app?" Natanong niya pabalik.

"Oo naman, hindi naman siguro ako makaka limitin diba."

"Taga Chicago daw siya eh, meant to be ba kami? Hahaha" She laughed as she questioned.

"Totoo ba? Baka binibiro kalang niyan"

"Hindi ah, nag send pa nga siya ng pictures ng sa Chicago, so taga Chicago naman siguro siya"

"Siguraduhin mo hah."

"Sogurado ako" sagot niya

"Well then tingnan nalang natin kung ano ang mangyayari sa 28." Sabi ko habang kumakaway sa paalis na Sylvia.

Kumaway din siya pabalik.

Pagkatapos ng mahaba na oras sa kompanya umuwi na din ako diretso para maka pag ready at paalam na din sa pamilya ko.

Ilang minuto ang lumipas bago may huminto sa taxi.

Ilang minuto din ang lumipas bago maka punta sa apartment.

Ngayon, pagka pasok ko sa apartment dumiretso ako sa higaan ko.

"Ang daming nangyari ngayon" i mumbled then sighed.

Naka tulog din ako diretso dahil sa sobrang pagod.

Hindi ko namalayan na 10:09 na pala ng gabi, bumangon ako at pumunta sa banyo para mag palit ng damit.

At bumalik lang naman sa pagka tulog.

Pagka ilang oras ng tulog, nagising ako dahil sa gutom.

"Wala pala ako naka kain kanina" sabi ko.

Nag hahanap ako ng delata sa kabinet pero wala naman, agad ko naalala na may 12/7 lang naman pala sa gilid.

Lumabas ako kaagad dahil gusto ko na talaga kumain.

"Goodmorning" bati saakin ng cashier.

I nodded and went to find some foods.

"What would be good to eat" i asked myself.

I picked up the muffin, pocari and a cup noddle.

Went to the cashier and nodded as a sign of greetings

"58pesos po lahat" They smiled.

I pulled 100 pesos cash from my wallet and gave it to the cashier.

"Dibali 42pesos po ang sukli"

I smiled then grabbed the paper bag and also the sukli.

I was pretty much happy and went home.

Glad that there's a convenience store near my Apartmemt.

Pagka umagahan humilamos muna ako at naligo agad tapos nag bihis dumaretso naman agad ako sa company.

Pumunta agad ako sa cafeteria para mag breakfast.

I saw Lizele then sat next to her.

"Me and Sylvia will be going on a trip."

"Well goodluck with her, where to?"

"Chicago" i responded and sighed.

"Waoh, that's another country"

"Right and it's far so it's so exciting"

Isiningit ni Sylvia.

"Malayo nga naman para sa ibang lugar. Chicago is out of Asia, right?

"Yup, North America" I answered.

"Cool" Lizele said and ate.

"Gusto mo sumama?" Tanong ni Sylvia.

"Wow, ano yan trip trip lang pumunta doon?" I sarcasticly said.

"Company naman ang magbabayad eh" sagot ni Sylvia.

"Oh siya, aalis na ako hah, may gagawin pa kasi ako" Lizele smiled then left.

"Ah, ok ingat" sabi ko.

It was already 16 and few days left nalang sa month ng August, so i'll be preparing na para ready na when 28 comes.

I finished my breakfast and grabbed made some coffee for the CEO. Tinamad kasi ako mag timpla ng kape nung una eh kaya bumili nalang ako.

Went to the CEO's office to give the coffee and para matanung ko kung ano ang gagawin sa Chicago at sa mga files na matitira sa trabaho ko dito.

I arrived at the CEO's office, i knocked twice before going in.

"Here's coffee Ma'am" i started.

"Thankyou Stephanny"

"Anyways Ma'am what will i be doing sa Chicago?"

"I represent mo ang company natin" The CEO smiled.

"If you have further questions, then here are the answers" She added and gave me a brochure.

"Ah, thankyou Ma'am, then i'll be heading to my office" I smiled then walked out the CEO's office.

So there are two companies, the Del Mundo Company and the Williams Corporation.

Williams corporation is the biggest company here sa Philippines, i don't even know why the location is so far pero both companies are here sa Philippines.

My phone rang and i answered it right away.

"Ma i can't go to the reunion, i'll be busy"

Saying this without even looking sa name ng caller, thinking that it was my mother.

"So Ma na ang tawag mo ngayon saakin?" A rusky voice said.

I immediately read the callers name it was Axel.

What do i do nowww??

"Anyways busy kapala, gusto ko sana ipakilala na sayo girlfriend ko"

"Kailan ba?" Tanong ko.

"Bukas nalang o mamaya?" Tanong niya balik saakin.

"Mamaya" sagot ko.

"Saan ba?

"Sa coffeemaker"

"Malapit lang yan dito, ano oras?"

"Tapos na ba trabaho mo pag 4pm na?"

"Ewan, depende, pero try ko"

"Sigesige" sagot niya at binaba niya na ang tawag.
