Deryn Timps' POV
"Evacuated from DC. That's not how I predicted that day. It was all odd too. Noones sure whether he died in the fall, or the rain.
But I didn't think it was just him. I was a safe distance from DC at that point, but I still heard screams. They almost seem to be getting... Closer."
Connal's POV
Hungry, swirly, hungry, swirly. I've been getting alot of that lately. The swirly always comes when I'm hungry and I get near a human.
I am still scarred by the gun mans zombification. I don't know who else is a zombie, but I think the acid rain has started the zombie apochalypse.
I haven't stopped thinking like this for hours. Now that I'm away from people, I can tell that I'm at a cemetery.
Not a very good one, a bunch of graves were dug up, but there were no bodies. I roamed around and looked at some of the graves.
I breathed on one of the graves to clear the dust. That's when I noticed it took a great deal of effort to breathe. Almost as if I hadn't been for a while.
Unknown POV:
I was trapped in Washington DC. When I heard the first screams and gunshots I ran to this alleyway. Then some sort of building collapsed on me.
I've been sitting here since. It doesn't hurt, but its awkward. I want to get out and see what's happening. I still hear screams.
I'm not sure how long it's been, but at least a year by now. Each day I relive my life to make sure I stay sane. I rethink everything from my birth, to the loud chopping sound before the building collapsed.
Connal'a POV
This is getting weird. I've spotted the Vice President's name. But the thing is, it is clear from the grave that it was laid a whole ago. It looks like it was disturbed immediately after the burial, then left alone for years.
It could've been a different Joe Biden. But what I saw next was the most disturbing thing. The most disturbed grave in the boneyard.
The soil clearly was pushed away from below. But that wasn't the bad part. The bad part was the name on it.
It said my name.
