Chapter.1 - "you look good"

This will most likely be hangman's pov unless I say its roosters :)

Fuck. I thought this feeling would've left yet, post-mission I've been on a month's leave and it's only been three days since yet here I am still waiting for this forsaken nausea to leave.

The nurse on site told me that I had no injuries whatsoever that rooster and mav took most of the hits,(not that I'm grateful!) but they said I'd have bad nausea and some trouble sleeping due to the g's I had pushed through.

The first day I was exhausted, I barely slept that night. Me and rooster fixed our issues..Sort of? Emphasis on "issues". I wonder how's he doing, he obviously went through something alot worse than me plus it must of hurt mav awfully seeing his bestfriends son almost go down the same way he did.

I arise to get somewhat ready to meet the squadron at the hard deck. It's been a few days and we all said we'd see eachother for at least drinks, and I can't go looking like I just woke up I do have a reputation to hold.
I freshen up in the shower and for once decided to now wear my uniform and throw on a pair of faded jeans and a loose button up. "snazzy hangman lookin snazzy" with that I grab my keys and head down to the deck.

I arrive quickly at the deck and see Nat, Bob and javy sat around the usual pool table cradling their drinks.
I order my usual and prepare myself for a long night,

"well nat, you up for a round or am I just that good?
"shut it serensin you know I'd beat your ass in a heartbeat"

nat was always a feisty one,suits the name phoenix I suppose? Speaking of feisty, "maverick good to see you, how're you feeling?" Jake you know u can call me Pete now, you saved my life." saved his life. Saved his life.

"you alright there kid?" "yep just thinking sorry, so Nat up for a round?...
" always but uhm the real competition is behind you.. "
