Could You Do Him A favor?

Once upon a time there was a little girl, this little girl lived in a small town, in the middle of the forest.  She was always happy and smiling, and everyone in town love her. In the eyes of others she looked like the happiest child in the world. She was always playing and always saw the bright side of everything, something she said a lot was that a life as short as hers couldn't be sad, and that it would be easier to live if we just ignore the bad things in life, and try to find only the good of the world

- Sad things seem so small if I know they will pass with time. -She said to those who asked;

But every night, in the middle of the night, she sits on her bed and cry quietly until she fell asleep, no one ever saw or heard her cry, the truth is that no one knew how sad she really was, because she aways thought it wasn't right to tell others her true feelings.

Then one night, while she was crying, softly someone knocked on her bedroom window and she soon heard a voice saying, almost whispering:

- Please, let me in!

She opened the window and saw a boy dressed in black clothes, with a face that brought her peace, and the smell of a summer morning. He cried blue tears, bright as the sea on its fairest days.

- Why are you crying?- She proceeded to ask the boy.

- Because I'm alone!- He then replied wit a sigh.
And then asked - And why do you cry?

- Because I can't be myself in front of other people, or even tell the truth about what I feel to others!
The girl replied while lowering her head.

- And why can't you? - The boy asks intrigued by what the girl was saying.

- Because it's not right to show how you feel to other people! - She said quickly, a little confused by the fact that the boy didn't know about that.
Then she changed the subject a little and asked the boy. 

- And why are you alone? - The boy leans against the window and says in a sad tone. 

- Because people don't want me! And they run away from me when I arrive. They fear me, and don't want me around, but they know they can't run away from me! So they ignore my existence, thinking that I won't show up anytime soon.

The little girl was confused by what he said, but she was so sweet and innocent that the only thing she could say to the boy was:

- If you want I can accompany you, I can be by your side and not avoid you, if I can be myself with you, and you promise to listen to me when I'm sad and I can promise that I'll be with you, you can have a friend!

The boy raised his head and smiled at the girl. But then he said to her:

- People say  that I can't have friends, that I'm too difficult for them to handle, that I'm a burden, a mistake on the planet and that when I'm around I only cause great sadness, you don't want to be accompanied by a burden or sadness, do you?

The girl just looked puzzled, but answered to him:

- It wouldn't make any difference to me anymore, I'm so sad and fed up with so many things, but I can make you a good memory of me, if you accept me as a good memory of you!

The boy smiled broadly and said:

- If you really are my friend, can you do me a favor?

He approached, and the little girl agreed so he said next:

- Give me your hand and let's walk together until the end of time, where no one will find us! Only those who are worthy of us will be able to see us one day and the undeserving stays here!

The little girl found the boy's proposal strange, but even so she agreed with what he said and accepted the boy's proposal, so she gave him her hand and closed her eyes still full of tears.

Later the night went away and in the morning the girl didn't leave the room as usual, and her parents and friends were worried, but they let her sleep until a little later, until her parents went to the door of the girl.

TOCK TOCK

- Sweetie, your friends are waiting for you, don't you want to see them?- Her mother asked, but She didn't hear any answer, so they knocked again:

TOCK TOCK

- Sweetie, it's a beautiful day outside! Don't you want to go outside?- Her father asked, but still didn't hear any answer.

- We made pancakes, your favorite!- Her mother said, only to have no answer. Again, no answer!

TOCK TOCK

- Sweetie, we're worried about you, can we come in? - Still nothing but absolute silence.

So the parents decided to go in, and when they opened the door, they saw the little girl lying on the bed with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes, but when her mother approached and touched her face she saw that the girl was frozen like a ghost, that's when they realized she was dead. Her mother gave a silent scream and started crying over her daughter's body, only suddenly they looked at the window which was open with a boy sitting on the windowsill, looking at the little dead girl.

Then in absolute desperation the father asked him who was he and what he had done to his daughter, he then replied:

- Keep calm, she lived in a world that didn't deserve her! That's why she died, but she and I are going to a better place than you can imagine!

The confused father yells at the boy asking what happened and then the boy says:

- I told her that death was inevitable! And with those words the boy disappeared in the midst of the sun rays that entered through the window.
