Morning Troubles

Jennifer's POV

For being a McGarrett you would think that I would love to wake up and do things first thing in the morning. Dad loves going for a swim first thing or going for a run on the beach. Kono likes to surf in the mornings. Me? I like to sleep. Unfortunately, there is a thing called school. I have to wake up for Monday through Friday.

"Let's wake Jenn up. Daddy always wakes her up. We will be helping him" I hear one of my twin brothers whisper.

"I don't know Joshy. I don't want to get in trouble." I hear Brendon whisper back.

"Fine, you're such a goody two shoes." Josh teases and then runs and before he can jump on me, I sit up and grab him

"I wouldn't suggest you do that." I say. I will do almost anything to make sure these two don't get in trouble. I have made it my mission to protect these boys with my life. Doesn't mean that they don't drive me absolutely insane sometimes.

"I was just waking you up before daddy had to wake you up, Jenny."

"I've told you to stop calling me that. Now go." I tell him pointing to the door. With a huff he leaves. Brendon stays behind and then comes up to me quietly

"I didn't want him to wake you, I'm sorry" He said. I pulled him in a hug.

"Not your fault dude. Why don't you go down and eat your breakfast and I'll be down soon" I said, kissing his forehead.

"You need to be downstairs in 20 minutes. Your dad already left and I have to bring you and the boys to school and head to the palace, so hurry please." Kono says coming into my room uninvited.

"What the hell, Kono? You couldn't have given me more notice? I need at least 15 minutes just to get my hair done. Jeez!" I get up and rush to grab my uniform and head to the bathroom to get ready.

"Watch your attitude, Jennifer," she called after me.

I didn't pay attention to the time. I took my time doing my hair and make up and getting dressed. I walked downstairs and Kono was on the phone with someone. As soon as she sees me

"She just got down, hold on. I'll put you on speaker"

"Jennifer Marie McGarrett! Being disrespectful and swearing? You and I will have a conversation after school. You better behave today." Dad said over the speaker and I glare at Kono. She is so… I don't even know the word. The boys fully accept her as their mom, me? Not so much.

"Grab something quick to eat in the car and let's go" she tells me. I grab an apple and a package of peanut butter.

"Brendon, did you know Brody said that you could pass out if you locked your knees while standing. We should do that during morning announcements so we don't have to do Math and Social Studies today." Joshua said. Brendon's eyes were wide as saucers as he shook his head no.

"Joshua John McGarrett, if I or your dad get a phone call that either one of you did that, you bottom is going to get a spanking of a lifetime. Don't you even think about it. Do you understand me?" Kono says sternly.

"Yes mommy" Josh replies with his head down, but I can totally tell that he is going to do something equally stupid.

"Jenn, what do you have planned today?" Kono asks, trying to start a conversation on the drive to school. Seriously? She just got me in trouble with my dad and now she wants me to play nice with her? Uh yeah no thank you.

"Kono, do me a favor and just drive. Don't talk to me" I say snobbily.

She doesn't say another word to me but I can tell I hurt her feelings. She drops me off and I go inside.

"Hey beautiful, what's the matter? You look upset." Michael says coming up from behind me and putting his arms around my waist.

"Kono got me in trouble with my dad and now I have to have a discussion with him after school." I said as I grab my things for my first two classes and slammed my locker shut.

I turn around to face Michael but not before catching a glimpse of Addison and Brianna out of the corner of my eye. They are the biggest bullies of the school and they made it known Addison wants Michael and Brianna wants Will, the boy Grace is already dating. They glare at me for a moment before leaving. I take Michael's hand as we walk to our first class together. Grace and Will are in this class with us along with Addison and Brianna. Mrs. Paquette teaches History for the next 35 minutes before explaining our next group project. Thankfully we got to choose our group members. Group of 4. It was going to be Michael, Grace, Will, and I. We formulated a plan for our project before the bell rang. As soon as it rang, Michael and Will went off to their next class as Grace and I stayed for our next class. Mrs. Paquette also taught our elective Psychology. Brianna and Addison were unfortunately in this class also. They kept making sly comments toward us all through Psychology but made them subtle enough so they weren't caught by Mrs. Paquette. At the end, Grace and I had enough and when the bell rang we were ready to get out of there.

"So, I heard you both were using Michael and Will just to get into their beds to sleep with them because you're both sluts." Grace and I looked at each other and then turned around to see Addison give Brianna a high five.

"Jenn, I heard you're actually paying Michael to pretend to like you. Because who would date an ugly bitch like you?" Addison took a turn to insult me.

"Don't get jealous, Addison. It's not my fault you were born with the ugly gene," I sneered back and turned around to walk away when my hair got pulled from behind me.

I turned around and Brianna had already started fighting with Grace so I started fighting with Addison. I slapped her a few times and then was able to land a few punches. She landed a few of her own on my cheek and jaw before we heard principal Higgins "GIRLS! THAT IS ENOUGH!!" He yelled to get our attention. We stopped and fixed our uniform skirts and shirts. When I look over at Grace it's then we both realize we are in so much trouble
