(Phantom's POV)
It was a week later and Gustave and I had finally arrived at his Aunts house. I hoped she would help me with Gustave for I didn't not know how to care for a younger child.
When we came to the large house the door was already open so we slowly made our way in with caution. The first thing I noticed was the shards of glass littering the floor of the dark room. Gustave stopped me by tugging on my sleeve.
"Let me go to her first. From the looks of it something is wrong and she does not like strangers. " He pleaded me. I was hesitant but let him go knowing he would be safe with a family member, "just please don't stare father, it bothers her. "
I was extremely confused but followed Gustave to a large wooden door. I knew to stay outside of the room to allow some family time however I did listen in to make sure nothing went badly.
"Aunt Crystal! Are you in here? It is Gustave. " My son called out as he walked into the room. He was met with silence which was soon broken by a loud, sorrowful sob.
"Gustave? Is it really you? Oh it is!" A light and soft voice replied, "wait. Who brought you here?"
"My father brou- " Gustave began but was cut of by a loud shriek.
"No. No. No. Raoul is not aloud here. I want him out now! This instant. " The voice once again spoke as the doors to the room were flung open to reveal a young maiden a few years older than Christine would have been.
"Oh. You are not Raoul. " she said in a surprised tone and a shocked look on her beautiful face. She had such bright amber eyes and flawless skin. I wanted to see more however half of her face was cover by a mask.
"This is my real father. " Gustave exclaimed with a bubbly voice.
"We'll then he is welcome here along with you Gustave. You know the house pretty well so please show your father to the guest bedroom next to your room. " She stated " I am sorry to seem rude but I would like to spend my night alone. There is food in the kitchen for you if it's needed. "
With that she spun on her heels and went into the room, slamming the door on the way in.
"I am sorry about her. She does not like socializing. In fact I'm the only one she talks to most of the time." Gustave said with an apologetic tone in his voice and sorrowful eyes.
I simply waved it off as Gustave lead me to the room. Once I was left alone in the silent room I couldn't help but wonder... is she like me?
