I slam my door and spread my notes out over the table. Boy, am I lucky gabe showed up. He knows so much, it's almost scary...

I read through the notes once more and try to translate some of the symbols I see. I've come far enough at thia point to realize that "calix animi" means "living cups" or "cups with souls" but that's about it. Nothing new on the legendary chalice, the history of the isles, or how we can get our powers back. I'm very close to telling professor gabe the real reason I'm after this information, but what would he say? Would he even believe me? It's not every day someone walks up to you and goes "hi, I'm researching calix animi so I can find an angelic potion to shoot guns out of my hands!" I would sound crazy. I sigh and continue reading through the notes over and over, trying to understand. What does it mean? Why can't i crack it? If only we'd asked elder kettle or chalice about it when we had the chance.

I wonder if this has anything to do with ehat quadratis says. He said I'm a mortal, and MORTALS aren't supposed to know these things.

I'll show him. What if I find a way to become immortal? Then maybe people will finally respect me. I could figure out this mystery. I could help professor gabe.
