Finding Out

I was now 47.

It was sometime in June.

I think it's the 15th.

Bella would've turned 18 on December 17th.

Her golden Birthday was last year.

Shanann would've turned 48 on January 10th.

Niko would've turned 13 on January 31st.

CeCe would be turning 17 on July 17th.

It'd be her golden Birthday this year.

I took all of that away from them.

I was working on my appeal in the Library.

I've spent 14 years making sure it's done and perfect.

My Attorney, John Walsh sat across from me.

"It's not done yet."

"You might not need it."

"Mm. That might've been nice to know. Given I spent the past 14 years of my life working on it."

"A woman... Sophia Brown bought your house in 2022. 10 years ago."

"And I care because? The amount from the house got Frank, Sandy, and Frankie off my back about the wrongful death suit."

"Sophia Brown is an alias. As is her 18 year old daughter, Scarlett, 16 year old daughter, Chelsea, and 13 year old son, Adam."

"So, what? A bunch of people with fake names are living in the house? Why would I care?"

"The kids' last names are Rzucek. That just a coincidence?"

"Yes. Rzucek is a very common last name."

"Is it just a coincidence that Scarlett got a 2018 silver Lexus as her 17th Birthday present?"

"Yes."

"When coincidences pile up like that, it becomes evidence. In your heart, you know who those girls are."

"Bella and CeCe are dead. I made sure of that by dumping their bodies in the oil tanks."

"So you say."

He sighed.

"Scarlett stays off social media. No Instagram. No Facebook. Now, Chelsea on the other hand has Instagram and Facebook. She posts daily."

"Mm."

"The age of social media is a wonderful thing, Chris."

"Bullshit."

"So, Scarlett is graduating in two days. She is Valedictorian. Since Scarlett has a 5.5 GPA and an IQ of 330, making her first in the Senior class with straight A's all four years. She's been focusing on writing her speech for the last week. So, I'll let you know how Graduation goes. Peace, people."

They were on the porch.

Adam was sitting in the front with his feet dangling above the first step.

Sophia was next to him with her feet on the first step.

Chelsea was standing behind her.

Sophia had her arm wrapped around her.

Scarlett was squatting behind Adam.
