Marie's Pov
I drop my suitcase on the ground and look around the campus to see most of the kids huddling into groups.
I never wanted to be an outcast but it most likely seems that way to me.
I sigh and look around for any office sign and once I see it I drag my suitcase and walk up to the small house beside the two storey house. I turn the knop to open the door but it doesn't.
There's an open and welcome sign on it and I wonder why it seems to make it stuck. I could hear chair's scraping from inside and things being drop on the floor.
I knock on the small window but nothing happened. I try to look inside but everything is block by the curtain. I sigh and step back tapping my feet on the wooden step while waiting.
I glance at my watch and see that it's twenty minutes past since I've been waiting here. I move forward to knock on the door but it suddenly open, revealing a man.
I frown when I take in his appearance. His clothes are disheveled and his hair is messy.
It only takes an idiot not to know what went inside the office. I scrunched my nose, when I smell something obscure.
Disgusting.
"It's empty now, you can use it," he said as if I was waiting by the toilet stall.
Great.
I ignored him and step inside the office.
The smell of scented candles fills my nostrils and I didn't like the smell. It's a nice way to cover up for her hooky act.
"Please come in and take a seat."
I look up at the source of the voice. A petite woman sit behind her desk with her big eye glasses.
She is typing on her computer which made me wonder what she is trying when a while ago she had been typing down on someone.
I walk and sit before her with my suitcase behind me.
"Name?" she asks.
"Marie Nisha Barlowe," I answer and she typed on her computer right away.
After a few minutes she looks up and pull something from her draw.
"Here are the keys to your room. You are in cabin number 35," she says as she hands me the key and a small wooden plate number.
"You may want to go settle before our introductory program," she adds.
"Thank you" I told her and look at the key in my hand.
An idea forms inside my head and I smile ar her, ignoring Bree's warning not to do it. She doesn't want me to withdraw from this camp.
"Ummm I'm sorry... I've been edging to ask."
I gulp my saliva when she stops and gave me her full attention.
"I want to pull out from the summer moon," I blurted and she looks at me if I am crazy.
"I-"
"You cannot pull out from the camp. There is nothing you can do sweetie. No can do" she says, cutting me off.
I sat there in shock, trying to process her words. Wait. So what is that supposed to mean.
I am about to ask her when she sternly said "no one can withdraw."
"So are you saying that I can't refund the money?" I ask, forcing a smile on my face.
"No. Ms. Barlowe that just a money for your registration and food," she quickly respond.
