Genevieve shut the bathroom door behind her and rested her hands on the counter. She just blankly stared into the mirror for longer than she'd like to admit. She closed her eyes. She hated the effect Lorenzo had on her. She took a deep breath. Her stomach was churning. She pulled her now messy hair behind her shoulders.

"Merlin why am I so pathetic?" she murmured angrily to herself.

'Why was this so hard? It's just a guy.' She thought to herself.

She practiced her breathing by widening her mouth as she inhaled and narrowing it as she exhaled. She kept pacing her breathing until her heart slowed and she no longer felt like vomiting up her intestines.

"Vieve are you alright? You seem off," Priscilla said to Genevieve.

She smiled gently. "I'm okay," She said playing with her fingernails nervously.

"Okay. But... in case you ever aren't, you know you can tell me anything," Priscilla said, not trying to push Genevieve too much.

Genevieve nodded and picked off a piece of the blueberry muffin she was eating. "Just never bring me to a party again," Genevieve said with a slight smirk lifting the grim mood.

"So you won't run into Mr. Weasley?" Priscilla said as she nudged Genevieve with her elbow.

"Cici! Stop with that," Genevieve said with a chuckle.

They sat in silence for a few minutes. It always felt comfortable between them.

"So have you started any of your N.E.W.T. classes yet?" Priscilla asked.

"Not yet, today is the start of all my classes. I'm pretty sure only herbology and history of magic have started," Genevieve said.

"Of course, those are two of the few I picked," Priscilla said.

"Wait you started already? How is it so far?" Genevieve said as she turned to face Priscilla.

"Yeah my first day was yesterday, and they were alright. Pretty boring so be ready for a long year," She said as she stabbed the chunk of potato on her plate with her fork.

Genevieve laughed, "That's what you get for picking boring classes. Mine may be hard but never boring," She said.

"Oh shut up. You only say that because you're smart," Priscilla said.

Genevieve scrunched her face in confusion, "Me? Smart? You flatter me too much. Maybe if you paid attention more, you could be on my level of smart" She said as she put her hand on her chest dramatically.

"Wow within five seconds you already made me regret saying that," Priscilla said and then took a sip of her pumpkin juice.

Genevieve shrugged her shoulders smiling proudly. "Alright well I don't want to be late for my first day, so I'll see you after classes," She said giving Pricilla a small half hug.

She walked up to the rubbish bins and emptied her tray of excess food. She froze as she heard a certain voice at the other end of the great hall. She scurried out and up the stairs heading towards her first class of the day.
