"So are you ever gonna tell me what happened the night of the ball?" Onyx asked.

"What happens at a masquerade ball stays at a masquerade ball," Genevieve said.

"Oh come on! It's been two weeks. Ya girl is nosey," Onyx said as she slumped down.

"It's not that interesting. Trust me if I told you, you'd be yawning from boredom," Genevieve said.

"I know damn well that's not true!" Onyx said.

"What are you two on about?" Blaise said as he walked up and sat next to Onyx.

"Nothing," Genevieve said.

"Genevieve is being secretive," Onyx said.

"Onyx is being nosey," Genevieve said.

"Suddenly I regret coming to sit over here," Blaise said.

"Anyways Onyx how's your project coming? Considering we only have a few more weeks to work on it," Genevieve asked.

"Wait seriously? Ugh we're not even half way done," Onyx said.

"Genevieve and I are totally getting a better grade than you," Blaise said.

"Oh shut up!" Onyx said as she pushed him further down the bench.

"So did Lorenzo ever switch partners?" Genevieve asked.

Blaise furrowed his brows, "Uh yeah, well kinda. It was too late to switch so he's just doing it on his own. How did you know?" He said.

"Lorenzo didn't tell you why?" Genevieve asked.

"No I figured he just realized how douchey Miles was," Blaise said.

"Oh," Genevieve said.

"Why? Did something happen?" Onyx said.

"No, uh it's nothing," Genevieve said.

"Oh come on. That means that it obviously was something," Onyx said.

"Focus your energy on your project, not my life," Genevieve said with a smile.

"Ou," Blaise said.

"Damn. Fine I will," Onyx said stubbornly. "But when you're ready to tell anyone I request to be first."

Genevieve chuckled, "Deal."

"Well I've got to go so I'll see you two later," Onyx said as she stood up.

"Okay," Blaise said.

"Bye, see you later," Genevieve said.

Onyx walked off and Blaise turned to Genevieve, "So. This is gonna sound pretty bad and pathetic-" Blaise said.

"I don't like where this is heading," Genevieve said.

"No. Wait, hear me out I didn't even finish. I know I'm her boyfriend but I- I need ideas for Christmas gifts. I can't think of anything," Blaise said.

"Seriously? All that buildup for a Christmas gift?" Genevieve laughed, "I don't know if I would know any better than you."

"I'm begging, I'm not really on speaking terms with Draco, and Lorenzo is no help," Blaise said.
