She brought me to Tagaytay.

Leni brought me to freaking Tagaytay!

Theresia kept hitting Leni on the arm as the latter led her inside a restaurant. "Leni! I didn't even get to tell my parents about this-"

"I already informed them ahead that I'll be taking you here. Don't worry. Tita even said to bring back souvenirs." Leni says, chuckling. But she winced when Theresia hitted her on the shoulder again. "Ow!"

"Next time, do inform me ahead of time! I could have prepared a better outfit."

"Mahal, you always look good kaya. What are you talking about?"

Theresia immediately blushed. "Bolero!"

"I'm only stating facts, mahal." Leni winked. She held Theresia's hand and intertwined it with hers. "Come, I've reserved a seat for the both of us."

Theresia suddenly realized. Did she just call me 'mahal'?

Leni chuckled, as if she read her mind.

"Good evening, Ms. Gerona and Ms. Hontiveros. I am Chris and I'll be the one to assist you for the night. Here is the menu."

The waiter, Chris, handed Leni and Theresia the menu. Leni hummed as she scanned the list of food being offered while Theresia could only stare at the woman sitting across her.

Leni glowed differently under the yellow lights of the resto. Her eyes and smile shone even brighter than it was before and it Theresia's beating heart run faster than it has ever been.

And that's when she realized, she was in love with her best friend.

"I'll take a medium rare steak and sparkling water siguro since I can't drink." Leni says, Chris jotted down her order. "Ikaw, Risa?"

Theresia snapped out of her daze. "Ha? Um." She looked at the menu yet she couldn't recognize any of the food offered. Mga mayayaman nga naman oh! "I'll have whatever she's having nalang."

Chris nodded before repeating their orders. "I'll be back with your food ma'am, kindly wait nalang po."

"Sure thing, thank you Chris." Leni says. Chris gave them a curt nod before leaving them alone. "So, how did the audition go?"

"It was okay, they were amazed. I actually didn't know they'd like it when I made my version of that one scene from Sound of Music."

"Hey, what did I say? You are Ana Theresia Hontiveros, you can do everything." Leni smiled, eyes filled with admiration for the girl that sat across her. "Can't wait to watch the show."

"Huy, masyado ka namang advance! I just got in!"

"I'm just excited to see you up on stage, I know its your life long dream." Leni says, voice soft. "I'm proud of you, Risa."

"Stop, Leni. You're gonna make me cry!"

Leni chuckled. "Iyakin."

"Aba, where did you learn that word ha?"
