Amberkit awoke from the medicine den to see Maplestripe looking right at her. Maplestripes tail was flicking in slight annoyance. Amberstripe noticed this straight away and mewed apologetically, "Oh sorry, Maplestripe I forgot this is your den-"

The Old medicine cat then indicated with her tail for Amberkit to leave the den. Amberkit stood up when she noticed a kit running past her; the kit looked like a caramel Ragdoll with some white spots here and there. This kit, noticing Amberkit, then ran into the bush. When Amberkit walked over to the bush the kit was unable to be found. Hoping to find out about the kit she went to the preypile.

Unobserved by Amberkit, Steelmask walked over to sit with her.

"Hey there Amberkit!" Steelmask mewed, suddenly in Amberkits opinion, causing her heart to jump in fright.

Noticing her uneasiness the large grey cat mewed to the kit, "You good?"

Amberkit nodded and grabbed a small sparrow to eat  as to her they tended to taste the best. Steelmask looked at his secret daughter kit affectionately and put his fluffy tail over her head.

"Hey! Get your fluffy tail off me!" Amberkit mewed in protest to the action. Being a found kit she did not like the random affection of the older cats, regardless of who they were. So, she shook her head and got the tail off her.

"Good to know your talking- anyhow, what do you want to be?" Steelmask asked to the kit as she was plucking some feathers out of the sparrow.Thinking about the choices she wanted - hunting, tracking, fighting, smelling the air and harvesting plants... But, more than anything, she wanted to know more about starclan and she had a feeling that to achieve that she would have to become medicine cat.

"I think I might want to be medicine cat-" Amberkit mewed her response, after thinking a while.

"Thats cool, I better go now," Steelmask mewed, somewhat relieved, before standing up from the prey pile and to walk over to the medicine den.
