My thoughts were echoing off the walls at this point, the dark closing me in. I felt like I was being attacked by someone who wasn't even here. I scratched my skin until blood ran down my arms, pulled my hair until my head ached. I curled up, trembling and crying. I couldn't be too loud though, I'd wake someone up.
"Yn." An echoing voice laughed.
I looked around the room, shaking my head.
"You killed me you know! It's l your fault!" My brother's voice laughed.
"No..." I whispered, covering my ears and crying more.
"You did it! Why didn't you die instead!" He yelled.
"Stop it!" I yelled. I knocked the bedside table over, the small vase on it shattering.
I stared at it, hearing the yelling and laughing again in my head. I held my ears and curled up, continuing to cry.
"Go away!" I cried, keeping my eyes closed. I trembled more, trying to breathe. I wanted something to end it.
Arms wrapped around me. A hug. I felt someone sit me up, pressing their body to mine and keeping me close.
"Calm down... It's alright." Sanemi whispered.
I looked at him a bit, tears still falling down my face. "I killed him..."
"No you didn't. There was nothing you could do." He said.
I shook my head and kept crying. "My brother's dead because of me."
Sanemi hugged me again and looked at my arms. He pulled me up and out of the room, walking me to the bathroom.
"Is everything alright?" Aoi asked, looking in.
"It's fine." Sanemi said, getting a rag.
She nodded a bit and walked away.
I looked at my arms. I had really hurt myself this time. I'd never had an attack that bad. Never something that made blood run down my skin.
Sanemi wiped the blood up, wrapping my arms in bandages.
"Why do you bother with me?" I mumbled.
He shrugged, hugging me again.
I pulled away, getting up.
"Yn. You need to stay here and calm down for a bit." He said.
"Why?" I asked, looking at him and glaring.
"Just sit down."
"I don't want to." I said, walking out of the room. I went to my room and grabbed my sword, walkint outside.
"Where are you going?" He asked, following.
"Go away." I said.
"You're being reckless."
"Aren't you reckless too?" I asked.
He grabbed my wrist.
I yanked it away, walking out of the fenced area and into the woods.
He followed. "Get back inside."
I kept walking, glaring at nothing.
He stepped in front of me and grabbed my shoulders. "I'll drag you back if I have to Yn."
I pushed him away. "Then do it."
"What's all the noise?" Someone asked.
We both looked over, seeing a demon.
"Fuck off scum." Sanemi glared.
"How rude." It mumbled, starting to walk over.
Sanemi glared, drawing his sword.
"I don't feel like fighting with you. That girl looks pretty tasty. Why don't you hand her over and I-"
Sanemi sliced it's head off in one swift motion.
I turned to walk away from him, bumping into another demon. It smiled and grabbed my arms.
I stared, reaching for my sword.
It ripped it away from my belt and tossed it to the side, grabbing my neck and lifting me up.
I coughed a bit, trying to pry it's fingers away.
Sanemi glared and swung his sword, the demon's head falling off.
I fell to the geound, coughing.
Sanemi grabbed my arm and dragged me back inside, glaring. "What do you think being stupid is gonna solve?"
I glared at him.
"Well? You're gonna die if you keep doing this!" He yelled at me.
I tried to keep glaring but broke down, putting my face in my hands. "I don't know..."
Sanemi sighed and hugged me. "We've all got dead people. There's no point in being upset about it though. It won't bring them back."
"I know..."
He picked me up and brought me to my room, seting me down on my bed.
I curled up a bit, wiping my eyes.
He watched the floor for a second. "Do you want me to stay here with you?"
I nodded a bit.
He nodded and sat down, rubbing my back a bit.
I closed my eyes, falling asleep soon after.

I hope this is angsty enough, I haven't really wrote much angst and haven't read very much either but I tried reading about what it is. I think this ended up being fluff more than anything, but I hope that you enjoyed it anyway. Thanks for reading 🙂👋
