Chlymities' firey breath burned my ankles. "You're lagging!" He shouted, I ran faster.
"You know this isn't what I thought of when you said you'd make me run!" Quinpulup panted. She must have ran a few miles already, but even though her muscles screamed out for her to stop and her vision blurred, she was very close. Almost to the top. The cloud where the air dragons were right at her head.
Quinpulup jumped, letting the cloud engulf her, bringing her to safty from Chlymities fire. She laid down, pulling some cloud and biting it for cool, refreshing water.
The little claws were felt on her face as Chlymities perched on her forehead and looked into her eyes. "That didn't take very long!" He praised. "Good job!" he sat on her, and soon she was up on her feet again, back to normal with a few heavy breathes. Chlymities floated to her shoulder. He led her to the gathering of the dragons, but she had to hide in a bush. "I'll take care of the rest!" he said.
The meeting was really more like a prep rally, and Chlymities took over.
"Everyone! Why are we letting the other dragons take advantage of us?!" The little air dragons seemed puzzled. "We need to fight!" Chlymites yelled, rallying up the crowd.
He flew around, and flicked his tail, it somehow made the dragons excited. "LEAD US CHLYMITIES!" someone in the crowd yelled, then the rest of them burst,"LEADER!" over an over. Chlymites agreed, then took some other dragons at the front of the crowd to a den made of clouds. The group split up, going to train. Chlymites flew over to Quinpulup,
"Now I need to get you to make peace with the other dragons." he told her, leading her to an unstable cloud.
"Wow, they didnt take much persuastion." Quinpulup thought. The cloud took them back down to Earth, like an elevator. "Why couldn't we take a cloud elevator up?" Quinpulup asked.
"You only have acess to them up there." he stated.
When they got down, they were in the forest. "Perfect!!" Chlymites sang, and the hunt for more dragons began. "We're looking for earth dragons. They look like moving ground." he described. "Moving ground? How big are they?" Quinpulup asked."They can be big, but we need to find one to lead us to their leader, which we are most likley standing on." Quinpulup thought that through, the dragon must be pretty big.
It really didn't take that long to find the huge dragons. Quinpulup and Chlymities found a trustworthy dragon, who let them sit on their back to the leader. They had a strange tree with fruit and their own pond, with enough space to ay down on. They mo ved pretty fast for a stub,by dragon.
"Anyway, just act like you want to make peace, and the leader should agree." Chlymites told Quinpulup , and hid in her pocket. "Chymities, how long is this journey supposed to take?" She asked, hopefully everything will be done in time. "A few days at this pace." he yawned, getting relaxed. Quinpulup sighed, she was tired of running around, and she needed a good rest. She snuggled up in the grass, and the huge leafs of the strange tree covered her, like a blanket.
The crisp morning dew of the next day woke Quinpulup up. It didn't take we long to find out that the earth dragon that was bringing her stopped for a rest, and Chlymities was still sleeping in her cozy shirt pocket. She eased him out, and rested him on the grass with a leaf over him. It was night out, and Quinpulup wondered how long she had been sleeping for. It didnt matter though, because there was enough here for her to eat anyway.
Quinpulup picked up the strange fruit, it was bumpy. It was also an orpple shape. She ripped the skin off, and inside it was filled with nice orange wedges. "Orange!" she realized. It had been a long time before Quinpulup had an Orange. It was weeter and better tasting than the orpple. "Maybe hybrids aren't always better." She relised.
