It had been more than a week since Jessica had gone missing. Everyone was looking for her now, but she had completely vanished. I kept telling my parents it had to do with the bridge and the possibility of Aliens or Phantoms. My mom couldn't even use her psychobabble on me cause she knew I was like this before anything ever happened to Jessica or even Jessie. They both just shook their head as if I was a complete lunatic. They did have the lake searched, but they found nothing. I was completely surprised to hear that there were no bodies at the bottom of the lake or that there were no skeletal remains at least. I was even more surprised that all those that had dived down the deep lake, had returned. I wasn't even sure what to think on that one. Maybe it was strictly the bridge that was evil. Yet many people have walked on it many times and nothing ever happened to them.
I had finally decided to walk across the full length of the bridge to see what would happen. I had never even gotten halfway through the bridge before. Even the last time I was on it, I was only a fourth of the way into the bridge. Maybe around the halfway point, I would find that there was some kind of Alien spell, or maybe just Alien tech that teleported me maybe? I had to do so and left the house one cold Thursday that I had stayed home. My parents had already left for work and most likely had not bothered me to get up for school. I was dressed and ready and headed towards the bridge. I closed my eyes and sighed loudly. I could hardly breathe correctly and I had a feeling that was due to the fact of the last time I had gone on the bridge. I opened my eyes quickly again and took a slow and deep breath then walked forward. I continued to slowly walk forward on the bridge.
I finally got to the spot where I had gone the furthest before. I remembered what had happened here then and felt my feet sway before me, but I stood strong, and that all passed. I continued walking past the area and that memory was now behind me, but the fear now settled in of what might really happen when I crossed this bridge. All of a sudden I felt quite stupid. Aliens? Phantoms? That's all bullshit from a weak and scared ten-year-old girl! But I couldn't get myself to fully believe in that either. I know what I have seen before and I know that my mind wasn't playing tricks on me. I remember how wild animals were once more common in this area, but now they were not. Had they just all disappeared as well? It seemed like they had, almost two years ago. I finally got to where I figured the halfway point was, and figured whatever would happen would happen now if anything was supposed to happen.
I walked slower till I felt a cold chill, even though there was no wind. I felt as if a loud shrilling drill were in my ear, but nothing was around. I felt a strange sort of vertigo even though I had never had it before and nobody in my family had either. I felt as if I were being sucked through something and I realized this was it and I tried to stay awake for the whole thing, but suddenly I had gotten quite tired and soon everything was all black.
I later woke up on a table of some kind and I could quickly see out a window what I was seeing was water, but then it covered up as if I wasn't allowed to see where I was anymore. I heard some strange alien language and realized I was on an Alien ship. I looked around and yawned. More alien speak and then some quite strange accented English. Aliens knew how to speak English?
"Hello, little Earthling female. I am what you humans, in this language, would call a Doctor." A strange humanoid species was before me.
They had a head like a human. They had two ears like a human, though the ears were shorter than humans. They had some form of the nose, but they were more like slits to breathe through. Their skin was difficult to explain. They had a mouth quite similar to a human. They had four arms, though. A regular-sized torso, it looked like. This one had medium bumps on her upper torso. She was probably a female. They had two legs like a human and what looked as if some form of a tail. Two feet like humans as well. The skin... well, they had bluish skin. But it was fluorescent almost. Like it radiated or glowed or something.
