In this world, if your soulmate gets injured so do you, not to the full extent though. For example, if your soulmate were to break their arm yours wouldn't break but you'd still feel the same pain they do, scars do end up faintly transferring over though. Sapnap and Karl slowly over time figure out that they are soulmates, however, they have another soulmate they don't seem to know about. Quackity. As Quackity watches Karl and Sapnap realize that they're soulmates, he is forced to endure more than just physical pain with the knowledge of being their unknown soulmate.

The sound of an alarm blaring is usually the first thing Quackity hears when he wakes up. Well, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. The alarm wasn't that loud, but considering the fact that he always kept his phone right next to his head while asleep made the annoying noise much louder than it actually was. With a tired groan, he absent mindedly reached for his phone and turned off the alarm. He laid there for a moment, unsure if he really wanted to get up, and then he felt a random burst of pain in his leg.

Alex immediately grabbed onto his leg for a moment, silently cursing as he waited for the weird pain to pass. It took a hot moment, but eventually the pain subsided and he was able to properly stand up and get ready for school. His soulmate really had to be stupid considering the insane amount they seemed to get injured. Sometimes he wondered if he was one of the few that got more than one soulmate. It would explain the way he was almost constantly in pain, there's no way a person could get hurt so much on their own right? Well, maybe they just wanted to find their own soulmate and continuously did clumsy things to see if anyone around them reacted. Regardless of what the answer was, Quackity knew it was way too early to be thinking about this stupid soulmate stuff.

He carefully chose out his blue Adidas hoodie, black pants, and a black beanie, for his shirt he just kept on whatever he had slept in and called it a day. He slipped on his shoes before unplugging his phone from it's charger and making his way out of his room.

The house was empty, the only thing present was the now faint smell of coffee. Quackity's housemate, George, must have gotten an early start to the day. Usually they both left around the same time but ever since George had found who his soulmate was he had been getting to school earlier just to be with him.

"Tch, of course he went to go spend time with his little boyfriend," the raven-haired boy said out loud to himself, "this whole soulmate thing is stupid anyway." He walked over to the kitchen and soon enough began to make himself a bit of toast. "What if my soulmate is like- ugly as hell huh? Or a fucking asshole. I don't want to be stuck with someone shitty."

Unbeknownst to Alex, there was a figure standing behind him, "And don't get me started on how stupid it is that I have to feel the same injuries as that clumsy bitch!" He was getting heated and he wasn't even directly speaking to anyone. Maybe he was just mad that he had yet to find his own soulmate. Maybe he just wanted someone to be there for him that wasn't George. Speaking of George, he decided that now was a good time to speak up. "Yeah? I mean, I agree with you for the most part, though I don't think my boyfriend would be someone you consider little. He's like, double your height." The brunette had a small smile on his face as he drank out of his mug, watching as the other jumped slightly and immediately snapped his attention over to him.

"What the hell, George?! I thought you would have gone to school by now?" George only shook his head a bit, taking another sip of his drink before speaking again. "No, I decided to actually wait for your lazy ass to get up. Are you done crying about your sad love life? I need to get to school, Dream is waiting." Quackity jokingly scoffed as he finished preparing his toast and grabbed a bottle of water. "Oh don't make me feel worse about it, asshole. Yeah, yeah, I'm ready to go." The brunette put his cup down on the counter before leading the way over to their living room. The house was relatively big for two high school students, Quackity somehow got a job at a café and god knows what the hell George did. Maybe he has some crazy rich sugar daddy.

Alex grabbed onto his book bag and waited for his friend to do the same. Once they were both officially ready, George took the honor of, again, leading the way out of the house.

The walk was mainly silent at first. The two always were able to walk in comfortable silence, which was usually broken by one of them blurting out something stupid.

"So, how's finding your soulmate going?" Quackity paused as he tried to think of an answer to George's question. Not too great, he wanted to say, but he decided to keep that to himself. He had one main suspect, but even then he was worried about being wrong, so he decided to just keep it to himself. And George. George knew everything about him, there was no reason for him not to. He was trustworthy enough to know about his weird love problems it seemed. "It's the same as last time you asked. I mean, I have an idea on who it is, but if I'm wrong I'll just sound stupid."

The brunette raised an eyebrow as he listened to Quackity, both of their gazes on the ground in front of them as to prevent them from accidentally hurting themselves or tripping in some way.

"Who?"

Alex knew the question was coming yet somehow it still scared him. "You better promise to not make fun of me, asshole, or I'll kill your ass, okay?" George snickered but nodded, knowing full well he was not going to stick to that promise. "Okay, well, I have the slightest feeling it might be Sapnap-" Before he could finish his sentence George began to laugh a bit. "Sapnap? Damn, you got stuck with the worst of the worst," he joked. Quackity rolled his eyes. He knew George and Sapnap were close as well, so he also knew that all of that was just joking. Yet for some reason he still felt sick to his stomach. "Fuck off, asshole! You said you wouldn't make fun of me! Now let me fucking explain you bitch." The brunette held in more laughter as he nodded a bit as if signaling for the other to continue speaking.

He took a deep breath before explaining, "Well, we both know Sap is a skater and how he's always complaining about the stupid injuries he gets, right? Well, each time he complains about a new injury, turns out i had felt pain in each spot he talks about! I know, it might be some weird fuckin' coincidence, but then there was that one time that he had cut open a bit of his hand from a nasty fall and it scarred! And I have the same fucking scar on the same hand!" He makes desperate hand movements as he explains his thought process while George just has a smug smile on his face. Quackity raises an eyebrow at him at the notice of the weird look, "What's the look for?"

George hums slightly as he sees their school come into view. "I can't believe you were just talking about how much you hate the whole thing about soulmates then proceeded to go on a rant as to why you think our best friend is your soulmate." Alex feels his face burn with embarrassment. He probably sounded stupid. "Oh fuck off, George. You did the same with Dream, I don't want to hear your bullshit."

"It's not really bullshit if it's true."

He was right. Quackity merely shook his head with a small laugh and let the conversation end there. Eventually, he watched as the school came into full view, more and more students joining their side as everyone seemed surprisingly eager to go inside of the building. That was strange, usually the students dreaded going to class. He turned to look over at George as they both made their way inside of Essempi high. "Why the hell does everyone seem so- excited?" George let out a hum, almost as if the answer was the most obvious thing ever. "The talent show is today, everyone gets to escape from their oh so dreadful classes for basically a third of the day."

Right, the thing Alex had agreed to do with Wilbur. God, this was going to be embarrassing. Maybe if he got someone to break Wilbur's guitar they could back out. "Dammit, I forgot about that," he mumbled to himself. He had been practicing for a while but he knew the stage nerves would fuck him up in some way. He didn't understand why this was so hard for him, he had done it in the past, but it seemed to never get easier.

After a bit more walking the two parted ways, George went to meet Dream by the library and Quackity left to meet Sapnap and Karl in the courtyard.
