Three minutes past the said time... that's not a too eager time to pick up someone right? Sure it wasn't. Apo won't know how Mile was basically waiting on his couch, staring at the clock till it showed 9:50 am. Mile sounded his horn outside in the parking of Apo's appartment building. He saw Apo crouching at the door of the appartment on the second floor, petting a cat, saying something to it.
So, you're a cat person huh?
Mile chuckled seeing Apo talking to the cat, but it fit him, the cats and all. Mile also loved cats but was more of a dog person, he'd always wanted a rottweiler but never got around to buying one because of the implications. He wasn't ready to bear the responsibility of raising a dog. Apo ushered his pet back in and skipped happily to the passenger side of Mile's car.
"Sawatdee krap, Khun Kinn." Apo put his palms together, his thumbs touching his nose, and bowed down, greeting Mile, as one greets their elders.
"Sawatdee krap...bodyguard." Mile received the wai as a superior would, smirking a little as he had just recognised Apo as a subordinate to him.
"Heyy! I didn't agree to be your bodyguard yet." Apo protested as he got into the car. "So call me Porsche!"
"Yet," Mile pointed out, "Yet to be my bodyguard." Then with a grin, "yet to be my wifeey."
"I'm still none of those." Apo retorted.
"And yet, I still managed to kiss you, didn't I?" Mile teased Apo.
"Heyy!" Apo slapped Mile's arm, clearly getting worked up. "That's not fair! You're skipping bases!"
Apo was sitting up in his seat, turned towards Mile, his face showing playful displeasure. Mile unbuckled his seatbelt, earning confused looks from Apo as his eyes jumped between Mile's unbuckled seatbelt and Mile's face, which was slowly inching towards Apo. The playfulness slowly disappeared from Apo's face and was replaced with confusion and apprehension. Mile was so close to Apo, that he could feel the air Mile exhaled on his face, their noses almost touching. Apo could see Mile's dark eyes moving quickly back and forth as if drinking in Apo's features. He could smell the aftershave on Mile's face. Mile was no longer smiling, his eyes held a kind of luring charm that was characteristic of Kinn, more than Mile. Apo's face displayed more confusion as Mile's so far neutral expression broke into a small smile.
"Try to stop me." Mile said in a low raspy voice, looking Apo straight in the eyes. Apo forgot for a moment, what they were talking about and it took him a few seconds to process what Mile meant. He reacted immediately once he realised that Mile was just teasing him.
Apo placed his left hand slowly on Mile's forehead and pushed him away.
"Jerk!"
Mile laughed satisfied with having been able to tease Apo. This was definitely not the kind of thing Mile would usually do, but having the persona of Kinn to back him up, he went for it.
"What are you waiting for? The mall's going to close by the time you drive there!"
Mile let out one last chuckle before he buckled himself in and started the engine. They were quiet for a few minutes. Apo was looking at his phone and Mile was concentrated on the road.
"Have you eaten yet?" Mile asked.
"Hm?" Apo looked up from his screen, not quite catching Mile's question.
"Did you have breakfast?"
"Oh no," Apo answered, putting away his phone. "I didn't have time. I woke up late today."
"Ahh... Let's have breakfast first then."
"Dai!" Apo exclaimed slapping the dashboard of the car. He seemed very excited when it came to food. "I'm craving some doughnuts."
