Damp Mirror (Day 6 pt.2)

    "That was literally a serpents inferno, I wonder what else they're cooking up". Gliseen says in a raspy voice, drying the remainder of tears off her faces. "It's coming to an end, I'm surprised there's not anymore fucked up disasters, but who knows". Nikki says as they carefully make their way down the mountain. "Yeah I just don't want...". Gliseen tries to finish as out of no where, a knife flies past her face, wedging into the mountain side as she jolts back, barely dodging it.

    "Get down!". Gliseen shouts as Nikki notices something moving behind a rock in front of them. They peak their head from above the rock, throwing another knife towards them as they dodge it. It's Rhea. Nikki grips onto her ax as Gliseen shoots the last few arrows she has left towards Rhea.

Gliseen doesn't have any arrows left after shooting at all those cobras. Rhea then runs out of knives to throw. leaving her weaponless. Rhea runs towards Gliseen, as Gliseen runs towards Rhea, they lunge towards one another, knocking them both to the ground as they scream, trying to get a hold of one each other. Nikki is not wanting to throw her ax yet because she doesn't want to accidentally hit Gliseen. Rhea eventually gets a hold of Gliseen. She pins Gliseen to the ground as she screams, biting Rhea's wrist as Rhea yells out in pain, punching Gliseen in the face. Nikki then runs over with her ax above her head as Rhea notices. Rhea stands up.

Gliseen begins to get dizzy from her injury. Rhea dodges Nikki's ax-swing as her ax gets stuck in the mountain-side. "Agh!". Nikki screams out as she takes her ax out, swinging it again towards Rhea as she dodges it. Rhea smirks at Nikki as they stand face to face. Rhea's fist balls up, ready for any sudden movement. Nikki has her ax ready. "Is that all you got?". Rhea mocks her with a smile on her face. "Ask yourself". Nikki replies as she lifts her ax, showing Rhea her own reflection in her ax as she chucks her ax towards Rhea. Rhea's eyes widen.

    Rhea dodges her ax as she then runs up to Nikki who's now weaponless as well. Nikki tackles Rhea to the ground, punching her in the face a few times as Rhea then pulls Nikki's hair, punching her in the face. Rhea then stands up as Nikki's on the ground, aching from her injuries. Rhea then pulls Nikki up by her neck, kneeing her in the stomach as she then pulls her hair, banging Nikki's head into the mountain-side. She then shoves Nikki towards the ledge of the path, that leads down to a cliff, one wrong step and it's over for Nikki. Gliseen drags her injured self to the mountain-side to lean against. Nikki tumbles off the ledge. She screams as she quickly holds onto the edge of the path with her hands, trying to to slip as her muddy fingers try to grip onto to the rock. Rhea chuckles as she wipes the sweat and rain off her forehead.

Rhea walks over to grab a hold of Nikki's ax. She picks up Nikki's ax, making her way over to Gliseen, who's still weak and dizzy. "Please...don't do this". Gliseen pleads Rhea as Rhea makes a mocking 'sad' face. She readies the ax, raising it above her head, ready to jam the ax into Gliseen's body. Gliseen spits out her own blood as she begins to weep. Nikki struggles to pull herself back onto the ledge, trying to use all the strength she has left. Gliseen attempts to throw a punch at Rhea but that failed and without a word Rhea jams the ax into Gliseen's chest and stomach, dicing her over and over as Gliseen cries out in pain as her body twitches, blood spreading everywhere as the once muddy-brown water in the ground turns rosy-black. "NO!". Nikki shouts out, raising her head up as she finally pulls herself back onto the path. "Gliseen!". Nikki screams, watching Rhea use her ax to slaughter Gliseen. Gliseen slowly shuts her eyes as her body slowly began to look like one of those dummies back in the Training Center.

Gliseen's cannon sounds as Nikki watches Rhea kick Gliseen's body off to the side, wiping the blood off her face, holding the ax. Nikki charges at Rhea as Rhea flings the ax towards Nikki. Nikki not knowing what will happen next, she runs-then-slides onto the muddy ground towards Rhea, splashing mud onto Rhea's face and body. As the ax is flying mid air, Nikki makes the quick decision to stick her hand up in the air to try to grab the ax, not caring if it'll slice her hand off or not...

Miraculously Nikki caught the handle of the ax. She stops sliding, doing a little twirl before chucking her ax into Rhea's skull, Rhea falls face first into the mud as the ax goes deeper in her head, killing her instantly. Rhea's cannon sounds...

     Nikki breathes heavily putting her hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath. Nikki places her muddy shoe onto Rhea's face, getting her ax out of her head. She tries her best to avoid having a glimpse at Gliseen's body before leaving. But Gliseen and Nikki gotten close while in the arena and out. They genuinely cared about each other. They had each others back at anytime. Nikki takes a peak at Gliseen's lifeless body before quickly turning her head. Nikki's face sunken in with devastation as tears drip down her face. Thunder trails through out the sky as lightening can be seen in the distance as the rain pours harder and harder. Nikki begins to make her way down the mountain, back to the river. On her way down Nikki prepares herself for what's about to happen...

     As Careers we expect to all be okay...as these games come to an end, we see more true colors than ever before. We took the chance by volunteering, A chance that was never promised.
