"You sure you want to go in alone?" Annika inquired skeptically as we pulled up to an apartment that sure enough, was about a block away from our school. Giving her what was probably the weakest smile known to man, I tentatively got out of the car.
"Yeah, sure. I mean. I probably will live, right?" We both knew I was joking, but I honestly wasn't sure. I had the feeling you had when you were positive you were walking into a terrible situation. Lamely waving to Annika, I cracked my knuckles and walked up the short steps to the quaint looking building. It was when I saw the four different doorbells that I lost any semblance of confidence I had previously been in possession of.
Shit. Kyle....... slapping my head with my palm I tried to think of the last time Annika had given me for my new roomie. "Dafni!" I shouted out loud once I remembered, pressing the doorbells with his last name on it.
"Bless you." startled I whirled around and crashed into an extremely muscled chest. wincing, I looked up into dark green eyes and pitch black hair. "You did sneeze right?" Laughing weakly, I pushed myself away from his chest.
"No, and I'm so sorry. I promise you that I'm not usually this insane! Its just I'm nervous and I couldn't remember...." realizing that I was blabbering aimlessly I gave up and stuck out my hand. "Hi." I wanted to kick myself for being so lame. "I'm Danielle." Laughing, the guy took my hand and smiled.
" Plăcerea este a mea, îngerul meu lipsit de tact. My name is Andrei" Tilting my head, eventually a look of realization came over his face. " Rahat I switched from English did I not?" it was then that I noticed the accent in his voice.
"Yeah. what did you say? And what language is it?" Andrei smiled secretively.
"Romanian. And I said it was a pleasure to meet you."
"That's not all the little snakecharmer said." a grumpy voice came from behind me. Screaming, I fell backwards against another chest. Andrei burst into laughter.
" Gelos cousin?" spinning to see who I had crashed into in my irrational fear of just about everything, I stared in astonishment from Kyle to Andrei.
"Cousin?" I whisper yelled.

"Gelos, cousin?" Andrei's words tempted me to punch him in his face. When my new doorbell had rung, I had expected the quirky Danielle, not her and my idiot relative. Andrei had been asking me if I was jealous, which I damn well was not!!
"You'd like to think so." I snapped. Danielle's silky Blonde hair was a whirlwind as she compared me to my cousin.
"What else did he say?" She finally demanded, planting her hands on her curved hips. Andrei's lips turned up in a smile as if daring me to tell her that he had called her a clumsy angel. HIS clumsy angel.
"Nothing important." I said sulkily. "Just bullshit." I could tell she didn't believe me, but that really wasn't my problem. "Just come in." Grabbing her wrist I yanked her inside and slammed the main door in Andrei's face.
"Let go of me!" the fiesty Blonde snapped, tugging her arm away. "And why did you just shut the door on your cousin!?" Ignoring her protests I led her up a flight of stairs to trlhe second floor and the first door on the right.
"Welcome home." I announced grandly, sweeping my arms across the half empty space. "Its not much but it will do." Just then my phone vibrated. Pulling it out I saw a text from none other than Andrei himself.
Andrei- I pay a visit to America and you greet me by removing the pretty girl and slamming the door? For shame cousin. Lena will not be pleased if you show her that type of behavior.
He had brought HER with him? Throwing my phone across the room and causing Danielle to look at me with panic, I realized she was my only choice. Grabbing her shoulders and having her look me in the eyes I spoke to her in the bluntest way possible.
"I need your help. As of now we are going out."
