Will Byers

"God, I'm stuffed... are you guys stuffed?" Dustin asks, welcoming himself to lay down in my bed.

"Yup. Those burgers were literally so big." Max replies, leaning against the door frame.

Soo while me and Max were at Starcourt mall, we ran into Dustin at Scoops Ahoy since he finished school early, and he was hanging out with Mr Harrington - apparently he works several jobs.

"It was the ice cream for me." I interject, trilling my lips before getting into bed and gesturing Dustin to scoot over. I wince and connect my fingers to my temples, moving them in a circular motion. Crap... migraine.

"You okay?" Max asks me, approaching my desk before sitting down on the chair.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Okay..." She smiles, and the room is in silence for a little before the we hear the keys starting to jiggle in the lock of the front door.

"I think that's Mike." I say, sounding much more calm than I actually am.

Oh my god, I can't face him now. Firstly, I wouldn't be surprised if I left him feeling suspicious based on the way I quickly left this morning, and secondly, I have friends over! God this just can't get worse.

As Mike enters the bedroom, someone follows behind him, causing my breath to hitch.

No, no, no...

"Hey, Will..."

Mike Wheeler

I exhale as I allow my pee to release into the urinal, staring at the ceiling lost in thought. I don't pay attention when someone enters and unzips their pants by the urinal beside mine.

"Hey."

Why is he talking to me??

I shift my gaze to the person talking to me, rolling my eyes and sighing.

"What do you want, Lucas... didn't I already tell you to leave me alone?"

"I know but I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm not their friends anymore because..." He pauses to chuckle ironically. "Well yeah- they're assholes."

"I know." I reply bluntly. I zip up my pants and flush before briefly washing my hands and throwing my backpack over my shoulder.

"Wait, can we talk?"

"Don't wanna." I tell him dully, opening the door to leave.

"Mike!" He calls after me, and I stop in my tracks, softly groaning in annoyance.

"What?"

"I don't want our friendship to end for something like this."

Wow.

"Something like this?! You're acting like this is small! Listen, you don't know what it's like being bullied! You hurt him, okay? Bad. So don't come to me with this apology shit when we both know damn well that you don't mean it deep down!" I spit, my chest heaving up and down in frustration. He can't be serious.

"I know that what I did was shitty! That's the whole ass reason why I'm apologising. Listen, truth is..." Lucas looks down with a sigh.
