Chapter 5: Trouble on the first week

I really do have full respect of when that time happened and I understand completely that it was a horrifying event that changed America forever. A week has passed since the little animals got new homes, Melman, Gloria, Tiger, and Stella were starting to love parenthood since they adopted Nikki, Rocco, Blueberry, and Charlie. Even Alex and Gia since adopting Periwinkle, although, Alex has been shown to be overprotective of his new daughter, that he goes overboard over anything that he feels like is dangerous for Periwinkle, which annoys both her and Gia. Porsha had been starting to get used to having Meagan as her aunt since Buster took her in, although, she was hesitant at first, she let her help take care of one of her plants: her snake plant, Draco. Rodney and Lauryn have been making some progress on their project of Australia, hoping to pass it so that they can bring Brittany and Dubbsy home with them while Zoey and Robin were nearly done with their project on America. Blueberry now is going by the nickname, Bea. Ash and Patt are enjoying having Rainbow around in their lives. Including Meena with her new adopted sister, Katie. Meena's family got to meet her when she brought her home. At first, they were confused. So Meena had to explain to them that she was an orphan and needed a family to take her under their wings. They loved her so much, even Meena's grandpa was having a close bond with Katie, they decided to adopt her. Marty is also enjoying his new adopted brother, Lightning. Since it had been a week since Lightning asked about getting him a truck of his own, he remembered that he needed to let Vanellope know about it soon. Maggie was slowly starting to come out of her shell more since hanging out with Erik, Atticus, and Bo, which was a good sign for Elsa and Jack. The morning after Fruity stowed away in Trudy's backpack, Johnny found out when she accidentally revealed herself when she was getting excited for breakfast, that he had to have a talk with his dad until they both decided that it was time that Trudy got herself a pet as long as she takes really good care of her. Even Platy was enjoying having Jenny as her best friend and that she had been training on being a therapy pet with Perrito all week, she was starting to get really good at helping others in need feel better whenever they felt vulnerable or insecure. Mittens had really been getting into the whole series of Grey's Anatomy since Rocco introduced it to her, that she didn't get a wink of sleep. She would binge watch it either on her bed, outside on the treehouse, in the bathroom, in the living room on the couch, drinking her water and eating popcorn, sometimes having Rocco join in with her while she was getting close to finishing up the series.

One morning, finishing up her 18th season, now showing bags under her red-looking eyes, she was at the dining table, finishing up her bacon and coffee, which left the rest of her friends, looking at her, either in concern since she hasn't slept all week or amazed that she went through the whole series without any pause no matter where she was. Puss turned to Bolt. "Wow, she's still watching that show?" He replied.

"Yep, she has been all week, not a single wink of sleep." Bolt said.

"Dang, sounds like a new record." Kitty said.

"She looks really tired. Maybe she should take a break from the screen so she can rest." Perrito said.

"You can try, we already did." Bolt said before Perrito walked up to her, tapping her shoulder.

"Excuse me, Mittens? You've been on that tablet all week. You should probably take a break from it so you can sleep."

"I will sleep until I'm done with this season! I'm on my last episode of season 18!" Mittens snapped, narrowing her eyebrows. Perrito tried to reach over to pause the show before Mittens bapped it away, hissing ferociously at him, which got him to back away.
