It was late, Elisen was having fun at a table with a few dwarves. They were arm wrestling, the poor creatures thinking they could defeat an elf. Well, half elf. Suddenly, she felt a gaze upon her. SHe scanned the bar, but saw no one suspicious. She returned to her game.
What she didn't know is that the man known as "strider" around these parts was watching her. Her mother sent him, knowing he'd keep her safe. Unfortunately, once he laid eyes on her, he instantly liked her. Like a constant need to have her near, desire to have her to himself. But he pushed those thoughts aside, the thoughts of love. But, the more he thought about it, the more logical it seemed. HE wanted to be near her every second. He wanted to have his way with her. He...
"Hey, creep!"
His train fell off the tracks. He looked up and saw her, standing in front of him, with a beer holster in one hand. He chuckled at the sight. He got up and whispered:
"I am no creep, m'lady Elisen. I was sent by your mother to make sure you are alright."
She hated when her mother was over-protective. But this particular time, she wasn't as upset.
"Oh, I understand. Well then, creep, I'll be up in my room." she said, winking and passing by him, only sliding her hand over his shoulder.
He stood there, not knowing what to do. Then, he went up to his room, leaving a note with his room number on hers.
The next morning, Strider woke up to a knock on his door. Opening, he saw Elisen, playing with a knife, flipping it up and down.
"You ready to go yet?" she asked, not taking her eyes off the knife.
"Yes, just give me fifteen more minutes. Meet me at the stables."
And there she waited. She rested on the wall of her horse's stable. Last night, she had a dream. She smiled at the memory, but also pushed down that smile with disgust. She had only just met him. She couldn't feel that way about him yet.
Once he got his horse ready, they left the prancing pony, wanting to head for Rivendell.
They stopped at an inn for a night, after many days together, in which time they grew fonder and fonder with each other, and, unfortunately, there was only a room left. A double room. Looking at each other, promising nothing will happen, they headed up to it. It was quite spacious. That night, they kept fighting over the blanket until Strider couldn't handle it anymore and went down for a holster of beer.
A few minutes later, Elisen came to apologise.
"I'm sorry! I'm not the best sharer." she laughed, taking a sip of his beer.
"Yeah, it's alright. I can sleep on the floor."
"You know, we would take so much less space if we cuddled." Elisen bit her bottom lip.
Strider almost choked on his beer. He slowly put it down and looking into her eyes he saw it. The same desire, lust that he saw in his eyes. He got up, rounding the table and heading to her seat. She looked up at him, knowing she pushed the limit, but not regretting it.
