Malcolm's POV

"Any luck on thinking who it might be?" Jaehyuk asks before he takes a bite of his sandwich.

"Hmm, no." I replied with a sigh.

"Hey, don't feel too sad about it." Mashiho comforted as he patted back.

"Yeah, you don't know. Maybe your soulmate is just near you." Yedam suggested.

I hope so

"Anyway, did you hear? Hyunsuk hyung will throw a party this friday." Jaehyuk says with excitement.

"Really? What's the occasion?" I asked.

"Same reason as every party he threw." Asahi replies which makes the guys chuckle.

"Seriously? He's still going on with that?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah! He thinks maybe this party will be the one where he finally finds his soulmate." Yedam chuckles.

"I mean, I guess if I was rich and the soulmate marking said that, I would throw parties too." Jaehyuk says.

"Yeah, his is unique too. I mean how often do you get a marking that say 'stop drinking, you've had enough already?'. Like what are the odds?" I said still fascinated.

"Is that why you chose something unique?" Yedam asks and I nodded.

"It'll be easier for my soulmate to find out it's me because who else would say that to a stranger?" I reasoned.

"Well, he has a point." Asahi added.

"Thank you." I smiled at him.

As I look at the guys, I noticed Yedam and Jaehyuk looking at the direction beside me. Because of that, I turned my head and was met with a pretty girl.

"Hi-"

"Did you know that the Red String of Fate, also known as the Red Thread of Fate?-" I blurted out as the guys look at me with shocked expressions.

"Uh, excuse me?" The girl asked as she looked at me confused with a weirded out face.

"Oh, uh...sorry, wrong person." I said before bowing my head towards her.

"I was going to ask if you guys were about to leave soon so my friends and I can sit." She explained.

"Oh, uh, yeah. We're already done. We're going to leave soon." Jaehyuk replied.

"Ah, okay! Thanks!" The girl smiled before she left.

"Nice going there, Malcolm." Jaehyuk chuckled as the girl left.

"Hey! She said hi, okay? I thought she could be my soulmate." I defended.

"Well, that's what you get for using a long and weird paragraph as your first words." Yedam teased.

"Whatever. Let's go before we become late." I said as we stood up and left.

We were now talking about random things as we walked through the hallways.

"Have you seen the new Thor movie?" Yedam asks.

"Yeah, I think it was pretty great!" Jaehyuk replied.

"Jeongwoo and Haruto kept reacting so loud in the theater when something cool was going to happen and it made me feel embarrassed." Asahi said making us laugh.

As we walked, the voices of my friends were slowly fading as a tingling sensation was beginning to form on my forearm.

I looked over it and saw nothing but the tattoo. I tried rubbing and scratching it but it was persisting. It only got worse when we took a left through a specific corridor with a bunch of other students on the sides of the lockers.

I looked around and found nothing out of the ordinary as I only saw a bunch of other students talking amongst themselves.

What is this?

"Hey, Malcolm, you okay?" Yedam asked which made me snap back to reality.

"Ahh, yeah. Sorry, I spaced out." I replied as I looked at him before looking at the markings again.

"Is it because of the tattoo?" Jaehyuk asked.

"I think so, yeah." I replied.

"I'll tell you guys about it later." I replied as we went in our classroom.

Why did that happen? What does it mean? Could it be? Maybe my soulmate isn't too far away from me after all!
