"Mom, why did Charlie come and pick me up without you from King's Cross?" Minnie said. "Well, Charlie and I have something to tell you," Rosemary said. "Come here," Charlie said, walking over to Rosemary and sitting by her. "What is it?" Minnie said. "You're about to become an older sister," Rosemary said. "What? You're joking, right? Please, tell me that this is a joke," Minnie said. "I thought you wanted to have siblings," Rosemary said. "I did but I hoped that you would with my biological father," Minnie said. "But he wasn't making us happy. I had to leave him to protect you. He was abusive. You know he was. Charlie is a better choice for us. He gives you more than your father ever has," Rosemary said. "Mom, I'm already fifteen. I'll be of age in two years," Minnie said. "I know you've never been an older sister, but I know you'll do great when you come to visit after you become of age," Rosemary said. "I'm just a nervous mom. I don't want to lose you," Minnie said. "I know and I promise that you won't lose me over the birth of your two new siblings," Rosemary said. "Okay mom," Minnie said, smiling.
Rosemary laid down in bed that night. She was exhausted because she was carrying twins. She wanted to lay down and sleep. "She didn't take the news like I had hoped she would," Rosemary said. "I know, but once she sees the twins she'll definitely warm up to the idea of having siblings," Charlie said. "I'm sure that she will," she said. "Yeah," he said.
