To Reminisce

If you were Human

"You dork" Levi scrunched up his nose and chuckled at Eren.
They were sitting in McDonalds, grabbing a bite to eat before going to the movies. Eren currently had two fry's in his mouth and was pretending to be a walrus.

"Okay that's enough!" Levi said whilst pulling out the fry's. Eren just pouted at him. "Ew, they're soggy at the end. Disgusting" Eren stopped pouting and giggled, "What'd you expect? Come on! We're gonna miss the movie!" He said, grabbing onto Levi's hand and pulling him up, knocking the wind out of him.

They jogged two blocks to the cinema, maintaining a speed that got them there just in time. Levi pulled out him wallet to pay for the tickets, when a gust of cold wind blew the Y1600 away.
"God dammit" Levi said, pinching the bridge of his nose, "Go inside, I'll meet you there in a sec" he said with a wave before running off after the money.

Levi's P.O.V

Godamn money godamn wind in this godforsaken town-
I stop abruptly when I turn into an alleyway and see my money on the back of some guys shoe. "Umm..." I clear my throat, "Excuse me".

The man standing there was tall and buff, with blonde hair. When he turned around I could see his outrageous eyebrows and strong nose. He put a cigarette to his lips and breathed in, "Can I help you?" He said with a smirk.

"Umm" I cleared my throat again, "my money blew away and now it's on your shoe." I said, not meaning for it to sound so blunt. The man looked down at the back of his right shoe, "So it is" he said whilst picking it up and blowing out smoke.

Because from the looks of him, he was a punk, I had expected him to keep it with some snarky remark. But no, he simply handed it to me and said 'Sorry mate'. Was he British? He kinda sounded British.
"Thanks" I mumbled, whilst turning around to leave, before being turned around by the shoulder, and being punched square in the right temple.

Erens P.O.V

What's taking him so long?
I look out the window to the cold damp street, before turning towards the door and going the general direction Levi went off to.

Levi's P.O.V

"If you were human, that'd kill you" the ghoul said, "But you're not human, are you?"
I stand up and brush myself off, "What do you want from me?" I ask, trying to sound as calm as possible. I could feel the blood rushing to my eyes, so I shook my head and kept them closed. It subsided after a few seconds.

"We, want you" the ghoul answered, immediately after, three other ghouls dropped into the alleyway from the rooftops.
I could feel my Kagune pulsing.

"Levi.." My heart sank.
"Levi what's going on..."
He sounded afraid.
I turn to see Eren starring horrified at the ghouls in front of me, "Eren run!"
I hadn't said it in time because immediately after I did, a pulsing red Kagune went straight through Erens shoulder.

He crashed to the ground, unconscious.

"You bastards!" I scream, running over to him, my Kagune finally breaking out.

My purple and red wings with dart-like-points at the tips and along the rims spread wide, five meters across on both sides, and still flopped against the cramped buildings forming the alley.

"Let's get down to business, Levi." The original ghoul spat, "We want you, for reasons best left explained elsewhere. And my my, hasn't this lovely specimen here, seen a little to much comrades?" He turned to the rest, they scowled and nodded, "My point exactly. Levi, come with us, and we'll spare your little Eren. If you refuse, we'll kill both of you, starting with him."

My Kagune shrunk, "...I'll come with you. But only if you can promise me he'll be safe!"
They all look behind them, to a short ghoul with strawberry blonde hair, and no Kagune on show. She starts walking closer to me, all the way in fact. Eventually she stops only three feet away, "I can assure you. He will be safe."
She presses her palms to my temples, and I black out.
