After every dramatic blonde girl faked her own death, we were ushered back to our cabins to get a good nights rest.
Of course, the girls weren't happy with this, and decided that we should all suffer through their terrible 'scary' stories.
Amanda was the little ringleader, and after a thorough lengthy story yelled, "And I will haunt you forever!"
All the girls half heartedly screamed, while I made the mistake of laughing. I thought I had gotten away with it, but of course Amanda caught me. "What, you think you can do better?"
I rolled my eyes but sat up, preparing to watch them cry. "And so the next night, the ghost returned. 'None of you really believe in my power,' he said, 'So I must prove it to you. And the next morning, when the campers woke up, all their old noses had grown back." All the girls started scream and waving there hands around dramatically in fear. I laid back down, glad to have shut down this sleepover attempt.
When I wake up, the rest of the girls are asleep, so J make sure I get ready quickly in the orange polo and tan khaki shorts with my white grandpa shoes. If I have to wear the polo, I definitely am not trying to have nice shoes on.
When I approach the breakfast area, the only recognizable people are Wednesday and Pugsley. They seem to be in an important discussion, so I casually walk around for a few minutes, pretending I have places to be, before deciding it is safe to sit down.
The first thing I notice is that, yet again, Wednesday and Pugsley are wearing normal clothes, Pugsley his striped shirt, and Wednesday his sweater and tie. The second thing is that Wednesday seems to be holding a piece of paper. "What's that?"
"A letter from home. Our Uncle Fester is getting married." Pugsley answered, since it seemed Wednesday didn't want to share. The both seemed disheartened by this news.
"Well, that's good right? Who is he marrying? Do you know her?"
"He's marrying our nanny, Debbie."
At that moment, Amanda had to have been eavesdropping, and she shrieked. "The help! I'll literally kill myself."
Gary also heard. "No Amanda! Thats a good thing. This deserves a group hug!"
Everyone gathered together and began to hug, except for Pugsley, Wednesday, and I. I could tell Pugsley and Wednesday just didn't like other people, but I was not going to hug a bunch of strange twelve year olds while I was almost 18.
Becky gestured for us to join. "Will a hug hurt us?"
Wednesday seemed unbothered. "Yes."
"I am sensing some contention. I think someone needs some time in the harmony hut!"
