"No!" Pink screamed and pleaded with The Topaz fusions that were restraining her, "Let me go!"

Pink latched onto the walls crying and pleading to who ever she could to stop the fate of the isolation room. Pink caught Y/n's eyes and the diamond attempted to lunge forward towards the gem.

"Please-!" Pink begged tears streaming and eyes large and wild. "—Please, Y/n tell them I will be good, please!"

Y/n stood and stared a thousand yards through her diamond. She didn't say anything to console Pink or to help her. If she did, she would be shattered.

In this world, when you defy, you're shattered.

It's basic natural selection.

Y/n was made to roam the halls of Pink's castle. It was rare to see the two diamonds on the same planet let alone the same room. Ironically, the thing pulling them apart was keeping them together.

"She infuriates me, Yellow!" Blue roared. "I wish she would just act like a diamond!"

Yellow placed a comforting hand upon Blue's shoulder. "Her time will come."

Y/n's expression softened as she heard the yellow gems words.

"I know." The other diamond agreed, "Sometimes I just wish it was easier to curtail her..."

"Blue, one day, when she is responsible enough, pink will get a colony of her own and then we won't have to deal with her acting this way anymore. We will look back and wonder why we were so worked up over her." The diamond laughed, amused at the thought of it all.

Blue inhaled deeply as if refreshed.

The cool-coloured diamond added, " i'm not so sure about that Painite — what do you make of her, Yellow?"

Yellow snapped her head up, an odd expression, clouding her face, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. " I don't make very much of her at all."

Y/n's heart sank like a great rock. And her to feel so insignificant in the face of the Gems that she is supposed to help.

"—However, I must say she has made Pink much more tolerable."

That lifted Y/n's spirits. Perhaps there is still hope.

An odd feeling arose from Y/n's gem as stood, eavesdropping on the most powerful gems' conversation.

It felt wrong but necessary.

After all, there was nothing more than a gem would want than to please their diamond.
