READER'S POV:
Avery walked out of the nurse's office. Her shorts with a little bit of blood and her jacket on her hips, with her plain white shirt having a little bit of blood stains and her hair in a high ponytail.
"Avery!" Iris said and hugged her immediately,
Avery was surprised but not weirded out.
"Woah, You okay?" Avery asked
"I'm better than ever." Iris said, grinning.
Iris's dad went to hug Avery,
"Thank you, And i'm sorry you got in trouble" He said,
"It's fine, I just don't think I'll go home for a while." Avery told him
Iris grabbed Avery's hand,
"Mom, Dad. Can Avery stay at our house?" Iris asked in her baby voice,
"Of course, you guys can go home first. We have to buy groceries." Iris's mom said and Iris and Avery ran outside the school. Still holding hands.
"You didn't tell me your dad was abusive.." Iris said, looking sad.
"No, don't worry about it." Avery told her, reassuringly.
She was still clinging onto Avery's arm, and she hugged it.
"I thought about it.. I think I'm Bisexual." Iris said,
"That's cool! How'd you find out?"
"Because i met you."
"H-hold on? Are you making the first move?" Avery and Iris stopped walking.
"I waited for you to do it. It's obvious you like me back, Who would kiss their best friends forehead?" She teased Avery.
"I should make the first move" Avery teased and Iris laughed
"I'll wait"
Iris held onto Avery again and they walked.
"We're low on food, It's on me this time" Iris said, looking at Avery.
"Race you there" Avery said, running.
"Heyy!!! You cheater get back here!!"
Avery got there first.
"You cheated!" Iris said, catching her breath as Avery grabbed a basket,
"Of course i did" Avery said as she went to the Aisle of Cup noodles.
She grabbed 6 and went to the chips aisle as Iris went to check the ice cream.
"Woah!" She said as she picked up 1 tub of s'mores ice cream.
"Whatcha got there?" Avery asked popping out from behind Iris.
"Look!! S'mores Ice cream!! FRICKIN S'MORES!!" She squealed.
Avery laughed and took the tub from her and put it in the basket.
"Do you want to go to a book store? I lack books right now" Avery sighed as she went to the cashier,
"Ew nerd, but okay!" Iris said.
"It's on my this time." Avery said, "But let's go to your house first to put these away."
"Sure!!" Iris said.
once they got to Iris's house.
"Hold on let me check my phone" Avery said while Iris was putting the Ice cream in the fridge and the chips they got under the bed.
