Treyvon POV
I stopped my car at my old park. I didn't go to the gym, I been texting my ex behind Mirah back because I didn't know how she would feel about it. I wasn't cheating on her. I love her to much to do such a thing.
It's just that I needed to talk to her about some stuff since I'm back in town."You know you always been so dark to see from" Makayla says opening the door. She shuts it behind her and I examined how she looks. She looked okay. Not better than my wife. Soon to be.
"Don't diss my skin colour, you always liked my dark chocolate body" I said. She laughs and pushes my arms.
"You know in a year time you don't look as ugly as I thought you would be" she says smiling. I smile back at her.
"You don't look bad yourself Makayla Evans" I said. She playfully rolled her eyes and starts to blush.
"So what you want to talk about?" She says as she taps her phone looking at the time.
"When I left to go to West Virginia, why did you set me up? You almost ruined my career, I wanted to stay mad at you but you got to forgive people for what they done and move on so I moved on" I said. She looks down and sighs before speaking.
"You know when we was in high school, I had my ex and he wanted to jump you for being with me because he still wanted me. The day when we was together he saw my location and followed it, I never wanted to ruin your career Trey. I wanted to be with you forever. You have your goals to accomplish and I had mine. You was always a good boyfriend to me and I never wanted you to feel like I wanted to set you up. I love you to much to do that" she says. A tear brims down her face. I couldn't stay mad at ole girl because why would I. We was together for 3 years. I remember the first day I asked her out.
Flashback
"Don't be a pussy bro, she's right there about to walk away" My friend says. I closed my locker and turned my head looking at how fine she was looking.
"I'm going and I'm not a pussy I get what I want, you know I do" I said mugging him. He laughs and shakes his head. I walk up to her and her friends as she was on her phone. I motions for them to leave and they did. Smart girls.
"Hey Treyvon" She says still looking at her phone. I smiled and sat down at the table.
"What's up Kay" I said and she laughs. I like how I always made her laugh at small things. It was funny.
"How your day going so far?" She asks.
"It's okay right now, I mean it could be better" I said as I shrug. She looks up at me and smiles.
"Look you know me and you been talking for 4 months now, you been to all my games, you been there for me when my uncle died actually let me stand up" I said standing up. She tilts her head to the side with a confused face.
"What are you doing Treyvon Thompson?"she asks me. I smiled and grabbed her hand.
"Hey everyone can I grab your attention please!" I semi yelled making everyone stop what they was doing and look at me.
"Makayla you know how I feel about you and I know how you feel about me so I'll ask the question. Makayla Evans will you be my girlfriend?" I asked. Everyone oo'd.
She stands in her spot with wide eyes looking at me. She smiles as she looks around the place."Yes Treyvon, I'll love to be your girlfriend" she says. Everyone starts jumping around us. I picked her up and spun us around as she laughs.
Flashback over
I laughed as the memories came to my head. Good times.
"You had the memory too" She asks and I nod.
"Thoses time was good, remember when you watched me drop 50 over Sierra Canyon?" I asked. She nods and starts laughing.
"Yeah, you picked me up and kissed me infront of ten thousand people and we was on live television" she says as we both laugh.
"Oh remember when KJ would throw parties every week" I said and laughs.
"Yes, I would always be drunk and you'll always have to sleep with me at my house when you dropped me off" she says.
"Remember when I got sick and you thought I was pregnant" she says.
"I rushed to the pharmacy and grabbed three pregnancy test just to see if you was pregnant, that was the first time I doubt my pull out game" I said as we both laughed.
"Those was fun times, you should have went to UCLA" she says.
"I mean I should have but my life was at risk so I had to choose a better place" I said. I don't regret that decision because I wouldn't be here today if It wasn't for West Virginia offering me. Or I wouldn't have a wonderful girlfriend.
"I'm sorry for ruining you life Treyvon" She says. I hug her.
"You didn't ruin it, you just gave me another chance to have a better career. Think it as that" I said. She smiles.
"I see you have a beautiful girlfriend, she looks better than me" she says.
"She's the best, I would never ask for anything different" I said. It's true.
I hear my phone buzz so I grab it. It's Mirah. I answered and place it to the car so it can connect.
"Hey baby" I said.
"Treyvon it's getting dark, when you coming from training. Taz said he didn't see you at the gym so I guess you went for something else" she says. She sounds off and I don't like that.
"I'll be there soon, just finishing business" I said.
"Okay" she says before hanging up. That's odd.
"Is she always like that?" Makayla asks me. I looked from my phone confused.
"No, I don't even know why she's acting like that" I said as I text her. She leave me on delivered. Something is definitely wrong.
"Well I'll get going than, it was nice seeing you again Treyvon, I hope we can keep in touch" she says.
"Of course, you should fly down to the west for a bit" I said. She give me a look.
"You know I don't like travelling places, I'm a homebody" she says laughing.
"Let's take a picture at least" she says.
"Ight let's do it" I said. She pulls out her phone. And takes a pic. She shows it to me and I laugh.
"You always looked to gorgeous you know that" I said and she blushes. I turned on the car and she opens the door.
"Bye Treyvon, see you later" She says. She kissed my cheek and leaves. Noooo.
That's not cheating is it, I'll just tell Mirah anyways, what bad could happen?
