Okay, I think I'll have to point out a few things first here, since this review is somehow 'special' in different ways and I have a feeling that my views will be more like something you would hear from an outsider's opinion - which is actually the very gist of my purposes why I write these reviews.

Since this is a single story, I want everyone to know first, especially to those who are aware that the timeline of this story is parallel to some other stories, that I will be reviewing this one ALONE.

Why am I saying this? Because some people told me that my opinions could possibly change if I would have read 'Mapapansin Kaya' before this one, which is a story by the same author.

I'll say it again, clearer this time. I AM GOING TO EXPRESS MY VIEWS ONLY FOR THIS BOOK. REGARDLESS OF WHO THE CHARACTERS WERE, OR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE OR WILL BE DOING WITH THE OTHER PARALLEL STORIES.

Next, I've said that this review is somehow special because of a few things:

-this will be the second review I made for a story of the same author. The first one was Until Trilogy. I just had this awesome feeling that I need to do a review on this one, too. In fact, I think I need to express everything for every book I've read written by jonaxx.

-I have had a serious emotional attachment [not the romantic kind, though] with some characters in the story. And it rarely happens to me. Seriously.

I - Primary Approach

Would I be a mad man if I say that the title is NOT interesting? YES. Because if you are a reader who seeks good stories, I am very sure this title will catch your attention. I, myself, have noticed that I've been reviewing books with one-word titles.

They are very brief, somehow undefined, but definitely luring. What does it mean by 'Heartless', anyway?

The author's blurb did a very good job inviting me to read this story. In fact, I even thought that this is a pretty badass story. The blurb alone already got me thinking of what could have been the real dilemma throughout the book. And to be completely honest, I have even thought that I would hate the female protagonist, what with the emotional distress the guy disclosed with his words during the blurb.
