A normal Saturday night for the Avengers. They were chilling out in the lounge with some beers watching the TV. Everyone but Thor and Tony were there and that included Loki. Loki had been living with them for a while. And he was adjusting as well as could be expected.
"Is the tinkerer not joining us tonight?" Loki asked. Looking at the 4 human members of the group. Well... can you class Banner as human? He has a huge green rage monster inside of him.
"He'll be in his lab. He's in the middle of making something for Thor" Natasha answered, being the only one who actually cared what Tony was doing.
"What is he making for Thor? And where is that oaf? Should we all not be here?"
"Thor's off world" Steve answered.
There was multiple back and forth questions until the guys decided they were getting bored and decided to watch a movie and play a game.
"I propose we do a drinking game" Barton piped in.
"We'd be at an unfair advantage. Banner can't drink much in case he loses control, and Steve and Loki won't get drunk off regular alcohol." Nat interjected.
"Might I propose that it doesn't matter if the scientist gets drunk. I can get us some asgardian ale so it would be fair for you mortals" Loki said and stood. He knew exactly where he was going to get the ale without leaving the boundaries of the compound, which is something he's not allowed to do without an Avenger by his side at all times.
"Where are you going to get that?" Someone asked. Doesn't matter who. Loki went to Thor's room in the building and moments later came back with the alcohol of the Gods.
"I guess were playing something afterall" Barton smiled. "But what? Never have I ever? Truth or dare? Ring of fire?"
"What is this ring of fire?" Loki asked being intrigued by the thought of there being actual fire involved with drunk people.
"A card game" was the answer he got, which killed the mood for Loki.
"Heres my thinking," Nat said, "if we play ring of fire, Barton can't play. If we play never have I ever Steve will never drink. And so we should stick to truth or dare. If you don't answer your truth you drink. If you don't do a dare you drink." That sounded fair. And so began the game of truth and dare.
The truths and dares were pretty bland. I dare you to do a funny dance. What is the last lie you told? Where would you like to visit the most? Honestly, the best truths and dares came from Natasha. And she was the one who asked Loki the truth he didn't feel like answering.
"Truth" Loki said. He wasn't really known for telling the truth so this was possibly going to be difficult for him anyway.
"Out of all of us, including the people who aren't here. Who would you like to date the most?" She asked. Loki looked at her
"Dare" he changed his answer.
"You can't change to dare after choosing truth."
"Just did" he said.
"Fine. I dare you to kiss whoever you would like to date the most out of anyone in this room" and as she said that, Tony walked in covered in grease.
"What we playing?" He was ready to join them.
"Truth or dare. Loki was about to kiss someone" Steve said. They were all staring at Loki. He looked around the room trying to decide. He didn't want to kiss anyone. Well there was one. But he didn't want to be outed like that. He took a drink.
"Thats boring" Natasha said. Loki shrugged and looked down.
"Tony. Truth or dare." Steve said, just moving on.
"Dare" he said. "I wanna catch up with the drinking."
"I dare you to down a glass of vodka." Tony rose an eyebrow at Steve's dare. He picked up a glass which Clint poured for him and downed it. It wasn't much of a dare for him.
"You guys are playing soft" Tony told them. We should just change to never have I ever so the people who want to get drunk can get drunk.
And so they did. Never have I ever drank alcohol. Never have I ever kissed someone of the same sex. Never have I ever been on holiday. Never have I ever had sex. People were all drinking. They got pretty drunk from that but as never have I ever goes people run out of things to ask.
Loki was staring at his cup.
"So out of curiosity," Tony said sliding into a seat next to Loki, "what was that kiss someone dare about earlier."
"It was a dare to see who I like." He said.
"Was it who you like most out of here?" He asked. Loki nodded. "And you never kissed anyone because...?"
Loki sighed and got up.
"I'm going to retire for the night. Thank you for the good night everyone." He said and went to his room, leaving his drink on the coffee table. People were a bit too drunk to really acknowledge him so he managed to sneak off without making things awkward, but Tony watched him leave and started to ponder about why Loki wouldn't just kiss someone.
