It's been a day since the visit to the Quints' condo and where Fuutarou was drugged. During the morning, Fuutarou and Akira called and Akira told Fuutarou that he will help him, and also to protect him if Nino tries to pull that move again. Currently, Akira can be seen wearing a barista-like uniform as he serves customers with coffee, bread, or anything that was on the menu.
Akira's relatives -Eiji and Emiko- were owners of a cafe. Just like any other cafes around the country, they show a lot of classical stuff that were inspired from the west. Decorations were mostly western with a bit of Japanese in them. The counter had half of its space to show bread and cakes, the other half was just the cash register. There were at least fourteen chairs and tables inside the cafe and seven outside the building itself.
It was a busy day in the cafe, since there were only four of them working, but mostly it's just both Emiko and Eiji, though the cafe had times where both Minami and Akira were needed, and one of those times was right now. The whole place is packed with people lining up trying to buy themselves some desserts that Emiko made.
"Man, there are a lot of people here today." Akira commented.
"That's because mom made a new dessert. Apparently it's called Brigadeiro ? I heard from dad that mom got the recipe from a friend in Brazil. Quite far, really." Minami said.
"Huh, that's cool. So that's why there's a lot of people here, gotta try to have one later."
"You can, Mom said that she saved two for us, but she will dock our pay."
""Eh, I'm fine with that."
After that little chat between the two cousins, they head back to work. Minami worked as the cashier and as for Akira, he still serves and cleans around the whole place, time moves as more and more customers leave the cafe with a smile on their faces, satisfied by both the service and the food that they ate.
The four of them sighed in relief as the last customer left and was satisfied. "We thank you for coming, please. Come over again." The four of them said in unison as they greeted their last customer a goodbye.
With the sound of the bell rang and the door slammed to the door frame, all of them were exhausted from work. "Hah... Another success." Eiji said.
"That's... Right, dear. Another huge success. I'm glad I was able to get that recipe before anyone else does." Emiko said to Eiji while panting a lot.
"But seriously. There were a lot of orders."
"Hey. mom. I overheard some of the customers saying that this place would be better if we had our own music like other cafes."
"That could work, but we're understaffed right now. Akira can do this but if he's on stage, then who's going to serve the customers?"
"Come on, Aunty I'm not that good yet."
"Oh nonsense. There's no point in you practicing if you don't test it, also if you don't then what's the point of it all?" Emiko asked.
Akira reflected on what she said and sighed. "Alright. If you hire someone to take my place in serving the customers, then sure. I'll play, but I feel like it'll be awhile though..."
"Hey mom, can we have one already? I've been dying to taste one since earlier." Minami said with her mouth watering.
"Pig." Akira commented.
"Hey!"
Minami was going to punch Akira in the shoulder but then the four of them heard the bell on the door ringing and they saw someone unfamiliar. For the three of them but for Akira, he already met with the customer who just entered the cafe.
