Since my time at the home I had realized two things. One, never trust anyone else besides yourself. And two, when all else fails run away. Now that I'm thirteen these rules are quite helpful, especially when dealing with all the other kids my age. I have been going in and out of foster homes since my parents' death. All the houses I've been to have either led to me running away or the foster parents throwing me out. Now things are changing for me. I am being adopted by someone. I don't exactly know who they are. But I'm sure this house that I'll be in will be better than any foster house.
